Drake & Josh Fans Celebrate the Holidays Early!

Break out the eggnog (non-alcoholic, of course) all you Drake & Josh fans, and start celebrating the holidays early this year! Nickelodeon has just announced that two of their most popular stars Drake Bell and Josh Peck, will be reuniting for a new, two-hour original TV movie Drake & Josh: Best Christmas Ever. Set to begin production in July, the pic will "blend the classic buddy comedy viewers have come to expect from Drake and Josh with a heartwarming story for the season,” says Marjorie Cohn, executive vice president of Nick's Development and Original Programming.In the hilarious adventure, Drake and Josh, who happen to be working as the mall Santa and his helper, promise an adorable little girl that her foster parents and siblings will have "the best Christmas ever." Jeers: Not Such a Super Decision

Jeers to Nickelodeon for promoting Superhero Movie during tween-friendly shows like iCarly. Sure, it stars Drake Bell from the network’s Drake & Josh, but the PG-13 flick also features — to quote the MPAA advisory — “crude and sexual content, comic violence, drug references and language.” (Not to mention Leslie Nielsen having sex with a corpse.) Drake & Josh's Big Shrimp Nets Really Big Audience

Friday night's premiere of Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp delivered 5.8 million total viewers, making it the most-watched TV-movie in Nickelodeon history. It also marked the cabler's best performance with tweens age 9 to 14, bringing in 2.3 million of 'em. Nick's previous record holder was 2006's Drake & Josh Go Hollywood, which Really Big Shrimp bested by six percent in total viewers. read more
