An all-South American semifinals was still possible entering the final eight, but "La Albirroja" were by far the least likely to advance against Spain's lethal combination of talent and hunger. Striker Nelson Valdez is Paraguay's top weapon, while David Villa bids for a fifth goal in five games as Spain continues its quest to get an 0-for-12 World Cup gorilla off its back.
