Tony Awards
8 pm/ET CBS
Billy Elliot, the Musical with a Tony-leading 15 nominations, is expected to dominate the evening, but whether it does or not, it will be a great night for lovers of Broadway. As always, musicals will be front and center at the 63rd annual celebration with performances from the nominated original musicals (Billy Elliot, the Musical; Next to Normal; Rock of Ages; Shrek the Musical) and musical revivals (Guys and Dolls; Hair; Pal Joey; West Side Story). There will also be numbers from three touring shows (Jersey Boys; Legally Blonde the Musical; Mamma Mia!). Neil Patrick Harris is the host.
