Premise: Tom Bergeron and Kelly Monaco host the 33rd annual gala saluting soaps, daytime talk and children's shows. Taped April 28, 2006, at Hollywood's Kodak Theatre. Caroll Spinney (Big Bird on “Sesame Street”) receives the Lifetime Achievement Award, and there are salutes to “As the World Turns,” which celebrated its 50th anniversary in April 2006, and “Days of Our Lives,” which marked its 40th in November 2005. Performers include Rick Springfield. Presenters include Anthony Geary and Susan Lucci.
