Dancing with the Stars Episode Recap: Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 Season 15, Episode 12

After taking a week-long hiatus from sending anyone home, Dancing with the Stars boots another couple. Did Shawn's injury affect her performance? Did Emmitt's lackluster foxtrot hurt him after that perfect 10? Did Kirstie make improvements too late in the competition?

Who's it going to be? Kelly and Emmitt were both lacking a lot of energy, but Shawn was clearly still feeling her knee injury, both emotionally and physically. Kirstie finally made improvements with that unforgettable rumba, not to mention all the butt-smacking in the freestyle group dance, but was it enough at this point in the competition?

Also, does anyone think it's ironic that the show has Taylor Swift on for country week so that Taylor can come onstage and perform "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," her  poppiest single yet? Just me? Ok.

Enough about the warm-up act, let's get to the results:

The first three safe couples:
Kirstie and Maks
Emmitt and Cheryl
Kelly and Val

Those choices are... interesting. We don't like where this is going...

The next safe couples:

Gilles and Peeta
Shawn and Derek

So that means all of Monday's top scorers are in danger? Great.

Bottom three couples:
Apolo and Karina
Melissa and Tony
Sabrina and Louis

Next safe couple:
Melissa and Tony

That means Apolo and Karina, and Sabrina and Louis are the bottom two. They were two of the most impressive couples last night! And the couple going home is... Sabrina and Louis.

The week 6 curse strikes again! After Sabrina was sent home during the same week of competition during her first tour of duty on Dancing with the Stars, it's hard to see her go home when she still had so much fight left in her. Especially since she was the fan-selected dancer to return. Where were the fans when she needed them? However, Sabrina is not as bitter as I am and she says she is "thankful" for the chance to return.

"Every single person can understand what it feels like to get a second chance," she says. "This was that."

What do you think? Did Sabrina deserve the boot? Will Apolo ever be able to get back in the voters', and the judges', good graces this season? Are you excited to see the fusion dances? Who's your current to pick to win?
