Because a one-hour results show just isn't long enough, we get 90 minutes tonight. Sigh. At this rate, I expected both teams to get the encore, but alas, Team Apolo gets the nod. We next get a recap of Brandy's and Bristol's performances — in which Bristol says in the confessional that she's exhausted and wants to go home because she misses Tripp. Foreshadowing? You know, Bris, you could've withdrawn last week so Audrina would still be here.

First round of results:
Brandy and Maks are safe.
Bristol and Mark are still in jeopardy.

Dancing with the Stars Awards
More filler! It's time to honor those who have made the show the cheesy, er, glittery success it is over the past 200 episodes.
Most Dramatic Moment: Marie Osmond's collapse earns a pageant-y sash. (P.S. it would've been nice if they spelled Cristian de la Fuente's name correctly.)
Best Worst Dancer: Kenny Mayne, who gets the Two Left Feet plaque. But the best news is that DanceCenter returns next week! The countdown begins!
Biggest Dancer Transformation: Louis Van Amstel wins the Golden Ponytail Award. I hope that was his actual hair in the case. How hysterical were those blasts from the past? My favorite is Derek's Bieber 'do from way back when. He paved the way for the Biebs.

After performances by the cast of Broadway's Mary Poppins, as part of Macy's Stars of Dance, and Taylor Swift (love the band drowning her meek, tinny voice out), we get more results.

Next round of results:
Jennifer and Derek are safe.
Rick and Cheryl are still in jeopardy.

No award is handed out, unfortunately, but we relive some of the judges' best (or worst, depending on how you look at it). If I had my druthers, crazy cakes Bruno gets this hands down. I did, however, thoroughly enjoy the Carrie Ann "You Made Me Cry" Inaba montage. That's what, as she would say, "gen-u-wine" emotion.

Next round of results:
Kurt and Anna are safe.
Kyle and Lacey are still in jeopardy.

Oh, poor Team Kristi. You're all "in jeopardy." Together till the end, right?  Following another Taylor Swift number — after which self-described "big fan" Tom gushes to her and faux faints — we learn of next week's twist: the Instant Dance. The couples will get the dance style after the results show as they usually do, but they won't find out the song until they're on the air Monday. Hot-mess alert?

Next round of results:
Bristol and Mark are safe.

Twist! Though it would've been way too obvious had Bristol left after seeing her meltdown. At least she seemed excited — some of the best acting she's done on the show! But perhaps we should just put her out of her misery next week if she wants to truck back up to Wasilla so badly.

So the couple going home is ... Rick and Cheryl.

And the boos ensue. The judges' mouths drop and Eliza looks like she's about to cry.

It's a second straight premature exit for a decent dancer. I think this is a bigger shocker than Audrina's boot, mostly because Rick is a bigger name and two-time champ Cheryl's a pro favorite. Not sure what happened with the votes, but it seemed like the Jolly Green Giant slipped through the cracks despite earning his best scores Monday. Landing in the middle of the pack and tying Kurt probably didn't help. I guess we now know once and for all that football trumps basketball when it comes to Dancing.

What do you think? Was Rick the right boot? Is his elimination a bigger shock than Audrina's? Should Bristol just withdraw if she's going to cry about going home? Did you like the Dancing Awards? What other categories should there have been? Are you excited for DanceCenter? Will next week's Instant Dance be an instant classic or an instant disaster?
