Dancing with the Stars Episode Recap: Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 Season 11, Episode 12

Rock 'n' Roll Week wraps as Dancing with the Stars pares down to six couples. Did Kurt and Anna overcome their low score? Find out below!

So according to Brooke, we have some "shocking results" on our hands. That means one thing: Kurt and Anna are safe. What's so shocking about the lowest-scoring couple going home? Nada. They live to dance another day.

First round of results:
Kurt and Anna are safe.
Bristol and Mark are safe.
Jennifer and Derek are still in jeopardy.

Safely through to next week, Bristol and Mark get the encore for their "breakthrough" tango — air guitars and all. Monkey suits seem so last week. Oh, wait, they were last week. After a performance from Heart, Brooke chats with the middle-packers — Kyle and Lacey, and Rick and Cheryl — during which Kyle calls Len "super-cool" and the dance studio a "recording studio." We know at least one of those things is wrong. Is it just me or does it seem like Lacey can't stand him in the recap package?

Next round of results:
Rick and Cheryl are safe.
Kyle and Lacey are still in jeopardy.

Rockin' Ballroom Analysis
Resident Dancing rock god Bret Michaels returns (can't you totally see him on Season 12?) — this time with Alice Cooper and Dee Snider to weigh in on Rock 'n' Roll Week. Bret likes Brandy and thinks people connect with Jen. Alice picks Kurt to win, while Dee wants Audrina to "tap into her real emotion."

After a School of Rock Macy's Stars of Dance number and a chair-raising performance from Kylie Minogue (P.S. I covet her shoes), we get down to the highest-scoring pairs. Poor Audrina cried in the confessional Monday night because she felt that she did get into character, while Tony apologized to her for their very critical critique. Compare this to Lacey who wanted no part in Kyle's mistake.

Next round of results:
Brandy and Maks are safe.
Audrina and Tony are still in jeopardy.

So two of our past leaders and perceived front-runners are now under the Red Light of Doom.

Next round of results:
Kyle and Lacey are safe, leaving the ladies out there.

Tom points out that Audrina and Jennifer have combined to top the leader board for four out of the last six weeks. Brooke adds that they're not necessarily the bottom two. Bruno can't believe Audrina is there because she's been so clean and he just wants to see her get better. Carrie Ann — in her tweezed-out and extension-heavy glory — loves Jennifer and Derek's dynamic partnership, while Len says it's ludicrous that one of the pairs is going home. Well, you guys basically set them up by being so harsh on Kurt and Anna. Never underestimate the football fans!

And the couple going home is ... Audrina and Tony.

Surprising, but ultimately not shocking, I say. Audrina is too good of a dancer to leave this early, but she probably came in with the smallest fan base out of everyone (Bristol has mama in her corner) and didn't have an "it" factor or storyline to help her stand out. She says she had "so much fun" and that Tony has been an amazing teacher. As for her tears Monday, she says she got emotionally invested in the show the past week and that maybe she can't tap into getting into character right now.

So that's that! How fitting is it that an MTV star is dismissed on Rock 'n' Roll Week? Was this a shocking result? Are you surprised Kurt overcame his low score? Did Bristol deserve the encore? Is Len "super-cool"? Are you excited for next week's 200th episode? Have Bret, Alice or Dee seen a minute of Dancing in their lives?
