No Real World alum has had a more lasting impact than San Francisco cast member Pedro Zamora (1972-94), one of the first openly gay HIV-positive men to appear on national television. After being diagnosed with the disease at age 17, he dedicated the rest of his entirely too-short life raising AIDS awareness among young people. Damages Finale Preview: What Happens in That Hotel Room?

Damages

If there's one thing viewers want from a season finale, it's answers. Well, Damages fans, rejoice, because that's exactly what you will get in Wednesday's 90-minute second season closer.

"With the web that we spin, we feel like we have a responsibility to the audience to pull the shoelaces together — to pull it tight so that everything starts to fit into place," co-creator and executive producer Todd Kessler tells TVGuide.com. "We really appreciate the audience and their attention, so we want to deliver on every story we propose."

Great! So, why is Patty bleeding after leaving Ellen's hotel room? What's going to happen to Daniel Purcell now that he's confessed to murdering his wife? Will trigger-happy Wes send Ellen to her grave? Naturally, the producers are keeping mum on the major plot points, but co-creator and exec producer Daniel Zelman promises this season's finale is much more about character than plot.

Damages: Patty and Ellen Will Face "Major Upheaval" Soon

Glenn Kessler, Damages

Damages fans have been slowly putting together the pieces of Ellen's hostage-at-gunpoint flash-forward all season, and when the final piece falls into place, big changes are coming.

"There's gonna be some major, major upheaval in Patty's life, and Ellen has some coming in her life as well," cocreator Glenn Kessler says. "The ground is going to shift considerably. Many of the things we've proposed throughout the season certainly do get knotted up, and these women end the season on very different ground than they started."

But Kessler doesn't get to just write the twists and turns heading Ellen's way — he literally plays a role in them as FBI Special Agent L.J. Werner. Along with his partner Agent Randall Harrison (Mario Van Peebles), Werner has been working Ellen as an informant against her boss. But Patty may not be the only one with secrets to uncover.
