"Do You Regret What We Did?" Season 1, Episode 9

Does Patty regret what you did? I dunno, tell me what you did! I am really beginning to wonder what happened "six weeks later," which is where we are now at. Ellen had to perhaps kill a man in self-defense, came home to a bludgeoned David, got collared and, when she perhaps needs her most, cannot track down Patty - who, we now see, is hidden away at her Hamptons beach house literally quaking, sporting a look on her face along the lines of, "I'm a bad mamajama, yes, but even I cannot believe I did what I did." Hmmmm. And now, just as Tom goes to find her, Patty makes tracks out of New York State. Double-hmm. As I assumed, despite many a conspiracy theorist here, George Moore is in fact George Moore. No preposterous "switcheroo" there. George is fed up with this case dragging on and Patty putting together the pieces, so he has taken action, hand-delivering a chunk of evidence in the name of forcing Frobisher to settle this bad boy once and for all. Speaking of settlement offers, who fell for that dancing-with-Patty dream? I sure did, though I was sitting there thinking, "Wouldn't some Page Six photographer be all over this improbable dance pairing?" Improbable, indeed. Poor Art nearly went to a billion! Then he snapped out of it and advised courtroom coach lady to "continue being Patty." Um, did that include what we saw them doing against the desk a moment later? Some serious role-playing there. Katie's back! I missed her. She's cute. Not that Greg's visit did him a lot of good. He made that call to Ray on Katie's cell?! Dummmmmb. But what's interesting here now is that a videotape that could blow the case wide open, or (due to its inadmissibility) at least make Patty's team wise to George's agenda, is floating around somewhere in Katie's house. Is Greg the dead man David refers to before dropping Ellen like a hot potato? I doubt it; the death in question seemed more recent. I imagine next week Katie calls her brother with the news. (Unless she's busy spending her $128,000!) But this we do know: Greg got 1,000 shares of stock to rent that Florida condo in his name, but to serve as the meeting place for George and the Fro. It's now pretty clear that Lila is entirely unrelated to the Frobisher case, and instead is just a career nut job. "I must seem crazy...," she said to Ellen, as we all nodded our heads vigorously. Speaking of tortured love affairs, you had to feel for Ray when "his schoolgirl crush" (as Boone put it) ill-advisedly called, pleading for him to quit the case. "You're a better man than this" and such, Gregory said, Ray hanging on every word, seemingly hoping for his ex to propose another go at what they had. The bullets: " Could Frobisher not sing anything recognizable because FX wouldn't pay for the rights? Would have loved to see Danson belt out some "Bridge Over Troubled Water." " Katie to Greg, "You tell me one lie and I will cut your d--k off." And you believed her. " Frobisher's coach instructing him to "be heartfelt, without sounding like a p---y." " Ellen "warning" George, "I better not find out you have [an agenda]." Ooh. I'm shaking in my shoes. " What was Uncle Pete up to in the flash-forward, when Tom checks the office for Patty? I was ready to scream if instead he found Patty dead on the floor. " Patty in Fro's dream: "I want you disgraced. I want history to erase your every achievement." Ouch. Even for a dream. "What happened between you and Patty?" Tom asks jailed Ellen in the present day. I'm eager to find out, but I admit I'll be sad when this twisty tale is over. show less
