Cosmos on PBS

1980, TV Show

A Peabody and Emmy Award-winning 13-part odyssey through the universe. As well as being informative, the documentary made science fun with the use of impressive special effects and a clear and understandable presentation of facts, enhanced by host Carl Sagan's almost gee-whiz (and much parodied) enthusiasm for the subject.
Season 1, Episode 13
This is the famous episode on nuclear war in which Dr. Sagan argues that our responsibility for survival is owed not just to ourselves, but also to the cosmos, ancient and vast, from which we spring.
