A reunited Liber8 kidnaps the mayor while Kiera has her hands full investigating the two Alecs in one timeline; at the same time, Carlos struggles with the reality-shattering truth of Kiera's predicament.
Kiera is tasked with solving a series of Liber8-connected bank heists, which she comes to learn are being run by the recently escaped Lucas. Meanwhile, Carlos has trouble focusing on work now that he knows everything he never wanted to about time travel.
Kiera questions police behavior while working to help a college student caught up in a cop cover-up; Carlos learns that the influence of Liber8 can be felt even in the VPD; and Alec makes an unlikely ally.
Kiera crash-lands her CPS flyer during a prisoner transport in 2076 and is forced to work with her enemy captive in order to survive. In the present day, Alec is on the verge of solving Kiera's murder after he figures out how to recover the recording of her final moments from her CMR.
Kiera's relationships are put to the test and she's forced to confront some uncomfortable truths while working with Dillon on an investigation. Elsewhere, Julian puts himself in the spotlight by exposing a corporation's dirty deeds; and Alec deals with the pressures of his new role at Piron and with a revelation made by Carlos.
Kiera, without much help from Carlos, pursues a group of brilliant students who are using cutting-edge technology to commit crimes; at the same time, she's pursued by a handsome amnesiac who wants her help piecing together his mysterious past. Elsewhere, Kellog finds a way to get back into Alec's good graces, while Alec goes to dangerous lengths to perfect his new invention.
A shocking discovery is made by Kiera, whose connection with the mysterious John Doe grows deeper, at the same, her relationship with the Freelancers is being pushed to the limit. Meanwhile, Alec crosses the Rubicon to protect his legacy.
A direct attack from Liber8 puts Kiera and John Doe in danger; at the same time, they confront the harsh realities of their relationship's origins. Meanwhile, Alec struggles with the fact that his new invention is responsible for Jason's increasingly odd behavior.
Kiera and John Doe work together to put an end to the Freelancers; Scar Alec is rescued and reunited with Emily; and Carlos finally pulls himself together and resolves to take control of the VPD from Piron and Dillon.
In the Season 3 finale, Kiera and Liber8 find themselves in an unlikely alliance as they work together to stop a power-hungry Alec from unleashing his dangerous new technology; at the same time, Kiera's relationship with John Doe appears to be doomed as forces push them to opposing sides in a larger conflict. Meanwhile, Scar Alec comes to learn that Kellog has been making his own game-changing moves.
