The Cleaner: Benjamin Bratt
A&E has canceled The Cleaner, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The network has opted to not renew the rehab drama starring Benjamin Bratt. This news comes on the heels of the cancellation of A&E's only other scripted program, the Patrick Swayze drama The Beast, and, interestingly, the Emmy win of A&E's Intervention, which is like an unscripted version of The Cleaner.

The show's second — and now final — season concluded earlier this month.

More To Love
More to Love
9/8c Fox
Melissa's first "real" date turned out to be her last one with Luke, and with potty-mouthed Lauren getting the boot as well, our hefty hunk is now down to his "sexy six." This installment features a day at the beach, plus some dancing and (this being a reality contest) plenty of wine drinking, but the ring ceremony that follows won't exactly be a day at the beach for two of the gals. The promo seems to be promising agita involving Mandy, Kristian and Tali, but we shall see.

Will Kim Raver return to 24 since ABC didn't pick up her new show? — BrightEyez
MATT: I see where you're going with this. Since Season 8 is set in New York City, you're hoping Jack and Audrey will rendezvous, Sleepless in Seattle-style, atop the Empire State Building. Well, put a pin in that dream for now. For starters, you should be with me in wanting Jack with Renee, not Audrey. Beyond that, ABC's Inside the Box pilot is undergoing retooling/technically still in play, so Raver might not exactly be available. But one Kim you can plan on returning is Jack's daughter — sources tell me Elisha Cuthbert has already filmed scenes for Day 8's first few hours.

The Cleaner, Benjamin Bratt
Are special guest stars always a shark jump? The Cleaner's Benjamin Bratt says no way — especially when they include Whoopi Goldberg, Mia Kirschner, Gary Cole, and Joe Don Baker, some of the actors appearing on his A&E drama this season.

The Cleaner
10 pm/ET A&E
"Clean" doesn't always mean "bright" as evidenced by the gloomy second-season opener, which features guest star Whoopi Goldberg. The main story follows William's attempt to help a national-news anchor, played by Gary Cole, who claims to have been clean for years, but William knows better. The irony is that the man is a spokesperson for recovery. There's also little light behind the scenes, with William's troubled marriage and news of a friend's terminal illness.

The Beast
A&E's new slate of original programming doesn't include The Beast, the Patrick Swayze FBI drama imperiled by the health of its star.
That doesn't necessarily mean the end of the show — a rep for the cable network says no decision has been made about the its future — but it comes as a disappointment to Swayze fans who hoped The Beast might appear on A&E's schedule, which was released Tuesday. Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in early 2008, and shot most of the first season of The Beast while battling the disease.
A&E's sole returning scripted series, the Benjamin Bratt-starrer The Cleaner, returns June 23.

When will Kim Bauer be coming back to 24? And will it have anything to do with the bio-weapon Jack has been exposed to? — Yong
MATT: When I asked Kiefer Sutherland about the nature of Kim's latest encore (slated for mid-April), he said, "Something has happened to Jack, and it's he who asks for her — normally it's the other away around." Kiefer went on to call the father-daughter reunion "very human and real ... a part of the show I'm excited for the audience to see." So your theory sounds about right. Just don't expect the now-married Kim to have Pony Boy at her side; her Season 5 romance apparently didn't take.

Benjamin Bratt, The Cleaner
If only Benjamin Bratt's character on The Cleaner could balance work and family as well as the actor does. The show's first season – A&E has just ordered a second – ended with William Banks' wife kicking him out of the house. She's convinced that Banks, a former drug addict, has a new addiction to his job: intervening in the lives of addicts to force them into rehab.
