The Blacklist closed out its fall season on a high note.
Pending football adjustments, the NBC drama drew 12.3 million viewers and a 3.5 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic Monday to post its best numbers since its premiere. Lead-in The Voice (12.4 million, 3.5) was up a tenth from last week.

Of all the fantastical things TV brings into our lives, nothing indulges the imagination quite like cartoons. Whether timely (South Park) or timeless (Looney Tunes), animation can truly take us anywhere. The rules — and the budgets — of conventional television don't apply. In short, we just can't help being drawn to them. In honor of TV Guide Magazine's 60th anniversary, we present our list of the best and, often quite literally, the brightest:

Modern Family led the way Wednesday, leading ABC to a tie with Fox for the night.
The comedy drew 11.9 million viewers and a 4.7 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, rising slightly from its last new episode two weeks ago. Suburgatory (6.9 million, 2.6) and Nashville (5.6 million, 1.8) were ...
Charlie Brown and Linus
Charlie Brown may decry the commercialization of the holidays, but there's no denying the continued popularity of his TV specials. A Charlie Brown Christmas returns to ABC Wednesday night (8/7c) for the first of two airings this month, and if the network's recent rebroadcasts of the Peanuts Halloween and Thanksgiving specials are any indication, it's sure to do well.
Memo to HBO's The Newsroom: This is how it's done.
In its second season, BBC America's The Hour (Wednesdays at 9/8c) is the very model of a smart, sleek, witty and sexy drama about the inner workings of a high-profile TV news operation. Set in the late '50s, but feeling quite contemporary in its depiction of media celebrity, with political and competitive pressures assailing journalistic ideals, this first-class entertainment avoids the pitfalls of preachiness and extreme silliness that often derailed Aaron Sorkin's TV comeback.
Is he a good Santa or a bad Santa? Sounds like a case for Brenda Leigh Johnson (Kyra Sedgwick), and in a very campy Christmas episode of TNT's The Closer (9/8c) — one of many holiday episodes we'll be weighing in on this week — the Santa is ...
Naya Rivera and Cory Monteith
Glee's Christmas episode led Fox to a decisive victory Tuesday night, while even reruns of the reliable NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles on CBS pulled in big audiences.
At 8, the fall finale of Glee posted a 4.4 rating in the adults 18-49 demo and 11 million total viewers. NCIS scored a 2.0 rating with 11.8 million, and ABC's A Charlie Brown Christmas posted a 2.6 — down 30 percent from last year's airing -- with 8 million. (The animated holiday special was the most popular show on Tuesday night with kids aged 2-11.) Elsewhere, NBC's Minute To Win It won...
The Good Wife
The Good Wife headed into its winter hiatus on the strength of its largest audience to date, helping CBS land yet another Tuesday night ratings win.
The freshman legal drama pulled in 14.1 million viewers, handily defeating The Jay Leno Show (5.2 million viewers) and a repeat of The Forgotten (3.3 million viewers), capping off a characteristically strong Tuesday showing for CBS. New holiday episodes of NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles were watched by 20.5 million viewers and 17.4 million viewers, respectively.
Putting up the best fight was NBC's The Sing-Off, which averaged...
