Premise: Ambitious 24-hour miniseries adapted from James Michener's saga about American manifest destiny, embodied in the lives of Colorado settlers from the 18th to the 20th centuries. The star-studded cast includes the era's miniseries king, Richard Chamberlain, who followed this with `Shogun' and `The Thorn Birds.'
