Question: What is going on with Court TV? On Friday, April 27, Catherine Crier said it was her last show. She never explained why or what is really going on. All she said was something like, "By the end of the year Court TV will be gone, and something will be in its place." What is happening? I TiVo'd Catherine every day, and I am feeling lost already that she won't be on. Her show was the best news show on TV. Is she going to another network? And will Court TV be leaving the air?
Answer: Court TV is going through a major transition that involves rebranding to the point where it seems that by the new year, it may even shed its original name. The channel itself will continue to exist, it just won't look the same. As part of its recently announced rebranding strategy, Court TV will pull the plug on Catherine Crier Live after its April 27 broadcast, ays the Holllywood Reporter. Crier is also leaving her post as executive editor of legal-news specials (and can you blame her?).... Lost, My Name Is Earl, House and Entourage netted nominations for the U.K.'s BAFTA Awards, in a brand-new international category.... Warner Home Video will street Popeye the Sailor 1933-1938, Volume 1, on July 31, marking the first time the original shorts have been offered on DVD.
