Question: I'll give you a Smurf dipped in Diet Raspberry Snapple if you can tell me the fate of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Cashmere Mafia.
Answer: Most likely renewed and most likely canceled. Respectively. Now gimme my DRS-drenched Smurf!

Question: OK, so I am really not feeling Cashmere Mafia or Lipstick Jungle. Do I need to cancel my season passes on these two, or should I give them another shot?
Answer: Cancel Cashmere, but let Lipstick linger a few more weeks. Or at the very least through tomorrow's episode, which features both a rollicking guest turn by Lorraine Bracco and an adulterous Kim Raver having sex with a half-naked Robert Buckley. Speaking of the latter, next week the jig is nearly up when they do it on the floor above her magazine's photo shoot. And let's just say there's a window up there. A big window.

Question: We watched the first Cashmere Mafia and were appalled! Shouldn't someone in this show be likable? Watchable, at least? I was even more shocked when I looked up the cast online. No surprise with Lucy Liu, always interesting, but a bit too much shtick. Miranda Otto! She was so hot in Lord of the Rings, but here.... eh. Give her a sword and breastplate, please. Bonnie Somerville: a singer. Should have been a bold move, but comes off so-so. Frances O'Connor: much more interesting in Bedazzled. So four capable women leading a show... and it is unwatchable. Last night I had the TV muted and was reading something when I noticed this show was on. Watching some of it, I found I liked it better with the sound off. I could enjoy the beautiful women and the pricey outfits without the manic pace and storyline to get in the way.
Answer: And wait till you get a load of NBC's equally dreadful Lipstick Jungle next week. (As I joke in an upcoming review, I'm personally holding out for Mascara

Question: I watched the first couple of episodes of Cashmere Mafia, primarily in a desperate attempt to find new quality programming that would fill the void created by the writers' strike. New, yes. Quality, no. Unfortunately, I came to a similar conclusion that you expressed in your review: It was Sex and the City without the chemistry or substance. It only took about 15 minutes of the pilot to figure that out, but I wanted to give the show a fair shake, especially since it had some great actresses playing the main characters, like Miranda Otto, and, as I said, I'm somewhat desperate for something new. Now that the major networks have aired most of their "due-to-the-strike" season finales, it's a shame this is the kind of programming we've got left to watch. Thankfully we still have some new quality programming to look forward to, such as Law & Order, Monk and Lost (of course, with the exception of Monk, they will all likely be unplanned short seasons, too). Since the strike has ...
