Premise: A ridiculously low-budget but resoundingly popular sci-fi pioneer in which the courageous Captain Video (the `Guardian of the Safety of the World') and his trusted teen sidekick, the Ranger, clashed with villains near and far, the most sinister of them being Dr. Pauli. The sets and props were all very primitive (often laughably so), but viewers young and old loved the series and it helped launch future space heroes like Commando Cody and Rocky Jones.
