Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be Season 5, Episode 12

In the fifth-season finale, Hank walks into a bar filled with shadowy figures and a bartender who is a long-departed friend. He begins to suspect this isn't California anymore, but one helluva place to kill some time. After he snaps out of it, Hank heads over to Becca's, where he gets some unsettling news. Premise: The carnal escapades of a New York City novelist who relocates to Los Angeles when one of his books is turned into a movie and he's pegged to work on the screenplay. After overcoming writer's block, he takes a job ghostwriting a famous record producer's memoir and later teaches a college course in creative writing.
