A spunky 14-year-old orphan from Philadelphia has difficulty adjusting to life on a Montana ranch owned by her long-lost cousins, the Lowes. Storylines dealing with Caitlin's attempts to satisfy her restless nature also address adolescent concerns such as peer pressure, stereotypes and sibling rivalry.
