Grandpa surprises Caillou with a remote control sailboat! Caillou then visits an airport and attends his first wedding ceremony as a ring bearer.

Entertaining misadventures of a four year old boy named Caillou, where each day he discovers something new and interesting with his mommy, daddy, and Rosie. Between Caillou segments are segments featuring Caillou's pet cat Gilbert, Caillou's teddy bear, Teddy, and Caillou's toy dinosaur, Rexy, in puppet form. The show deals with issues like fear of the dark, patience, being a good friend, being a good sibling, and other important facts of life.
Caillou has fun playing in the rain by himself. Later, he is disappointed when he misses the ice cream man in the park, until he decides to be the ice cream man himself! Later, he makes up a story about his favorite book character, Superbear, and even comes to Mommy's rescue! Caillou tries to change the rules of a game when he is about to lose, but learns that everyone has to play fairly.
Caillou wants to take skating lessons just like Sarah, but skating proves to be harder than Caillou expected. The invitation to Clementine's party ends up at Sarah's house instead of Caillou's house. When Clementine tells Caillou how much she enjoys it when her older brother teaches her things, Caillou decides to teach his sister Rosie something. Caillou learns the importance of being on time.
Caillou and Rosie have a ball playing in the piles of fallen leaves in the backyard. Come October, Grandpa and Caillou take a trip to the pumpkin patch, and Daddy helps them carve a jack-o-lantern. In November, Caillou learns about the significance of Thanksgiving.
Caillou has trouble 'getting the message' until he learns that there are many different ways to communicate. He makes friends with Robbie, a deaf boy he meets in the park, and learns how to communicate using sign language. Shopping with Daddy, Caillou and Rosie help to surprise Mommy by keeping a secret about her special gift.
When Caillou, Leo, and Sarah have nothing to play, they decide to create a brand new game using items from around the house.
Caillou borrows Sarah's kite and learns how to fly it.
