Burn Notice's Gabrielle Anwar Ponders a Combustible Coupling

Gabrielle Anwar

Burn Notice (Thursdays at 9 pm/ET) is on fire, both figuratively and literally (usually thanks to Fiona's pyrotechnic work). After opening its third season with a cool 6 million viewers, the USA Network action-drama has been spying impressive demos. But will things ever combust between Michael and his onetime lady love? Gabrielle Anwar offered TVGuide.com a peek at what's to come.

TVGuide.com: That was some nifty knife-throwing Fiona demonstrated in last week's episode.
Gabrielle Anwar: [Laughs] Thank you. I fooled ya, huh? Yeah, that wasn't me. I did learn how to throw that thing, but I confess that they wouldn't let me do it if there was another human being within a mile radius.

TVGuide.com: So then what fun skills have you learned on the show? Is there anything you could pull off in a pinch? Maybe wire some C-4?
Anwar: I could probably blow something up. But I think our props master, who is quite the genius, is reluctant to give me ... read more

The Fashion Show

Burn Notice
9 pm/ET USA
Dealing with a host of problems is nothing new for Michael. But it seems to be coming at him from all sides these days, with old foes able to track him down now that he's lost protection from those that burned him, and with the cops sniffing around him. His latest foe is a repeat customer, the arms dealer (The Shield's Jay Karnes) who blackmailed Michael's ex last season. Now he's kidnapped Nate and is forcing Michael to help him pull off a heist. If that weren't enough, Paxson is still hot on Michael's tail.

After two seasons of looking for answers, Burn Notice's Michael Westen will finally come face-to-face with the person who promptly ended his career as a spy.

American Idol
8 pm/ET FOX
Idol certainly isn't idle — the talent show is hitting its stride with the second results show tonight. Last week, 24 million votes were cast (almost 10 million more than this time last year, according to FOX), and America advanced Alexis Grace (her rendering of "I Never Loved a Man the Way I Love You" sizzled and smoked), big Texan Michael Sarver and likable Danny Gokey to the finals. Tonight's second set of semifinalists hope for similar good fate. Alas, only three finalists will be chosen — and nine hopefuls will be cut.
