In the third-season finale, many of the Walkers find themselves having trouble communicating. Nora struggles against the language barrier to track down Tommy in Mexico, Kitty and Robert can't agree on the terms of the separation Kitty proposed, and Justin and Rebecca can't quite get on the same page about their engagement/marriage. Plus, Kevin has to work through his beef with Tommy, Saul has to make a difficult decision about Ryan and Holly struggles with Rebecca's impulsiveness. So how did this up-and-down season wrap up? Let's find out.

In the penultimate Season 3 episode, Brothers & Sisters took just a second to let everyone catch their breath, refocus and think (or not, in some cases) before they act. But that's not to say the episode was boring. Kitty — with the aid of some William Walker flashbacks — comes to a decision about her rocky marriage with Robert, Nora is hell-bent on finding Tommy, no matter what anyone in the family says, and Ryan's "secret" gets out, causing a huge "Walker meltdown," as Robert puts it. Plus, Sarah deals with the news that Joe is getting remarried, Kevin battles with taking sides in the Kitty-Robert struggle, and Justin has maybe the best week of his life ever. All the details lie ahead!

Everyone's got something to hide in this episode of Brothers & Sisters, but before the hour winds up, most everybody's secrets are out of the bag, for better or for worse. Kitty continues her "emotional affair" with "hot park guy" Alec, but her puppy love ends up hurting her, physically and emotionally. In Tommy's absence, Julia faces foreclosure on her house, but is too afraid to tell Kevin and Nora why she can't accept their help. And weasel-y Ryan weasels his way into a job and weasel-y Holly's good graces by becoming her mole (thought I was going to say weasel didn't you?) on the Ojai board, but only tells Rebecca. All that, plus (two!) stuffed ponies, some airbag burns and even some tears lie ahead in this week's recap.

This episode of Brothers & Sisters definitely lived up to its name. Coming off a monthlong break, the show picked up right where it left off and threw in some raunch for good measure. Sarah was on the prowl, ultimately "crunching some numbers" with a steamy Ojai accountant; Nora was once again wooed by her British architect beau, Roger; and Kevin and Scotty were nearly persuaded into a threesome by one of Kevin's exes. Robert wants to move his recovery into the bedroom, but Kitty has a headache — and maybe an intellectual affair. Let's kiss and tell, shall we?

"It's all about family." While we've come to expect that sentiment from watching the wacky Walkers for three seasons, it was somewhat shocking to hear those words come from the mouth of none other than Holly. But in this episode, it was indeed all about family: Nora & Co. banded together to help an AWOL Tommy through his legal messes, Holly decided to focus on the "bigger picture" of Rebecca and David, and Ryan proved he was only playing nice with the Walkers to get more intel about how and why his mother died. Add in a lot of talk about burping, cancer patients and downright lying, and you have a pretty awesome hour of television. On with the recap!

Ah, the joys of bonding. While the Walker boys bro out with the Spring Break crew in Baja, Kitty turns to Nora and Sarah for comfort (and sleep). But while Ryan and Rebecca grow a little closer when Ryan reveals a dark secret, Kitty and Robert seem to grow further and further apart. Read on for details on how it all worked out.

After the much-debated movie event of a week ago, Brothers & Sisters returned to its soapy best — and no one was safe. When we were last with the Walkers, they were swimming their way through "Troubled Waters." But now that they've each found the shore, they realize they're not all standing on the same side of the river. It's Tommy vs. Holly, Justin vs. Rebecca, Kitty vs. Robert, and Nora vs. the World (or at least the bulk of her family). But as the episode poignantly reminds us, in battles of the heart, most often there are no winners, only casualties. Did anyone survive? Let's find out.

The waters were troubled for plenty of Walkers in this episode, but for viewers, the two-hour Brothers & Sisters movie event was probably just troubling. The episode — which saw Kitty and Robert's adopted baby born, Rebecca and Justin reunited, Tommy land in hotter water than he ever imagined, and Robert's campaign hitting several dire speed bumps — rarely dragged and delivered plenty of dramatic, emotional punches. But what about that mysterious death? Read on for your (probably unsatisfying) answers.

In this episode, several of this season's key storylines took drastic steps toward their emotional peaks: Nora finally puts a face with Ryan Lafferty, Kitty and Robert (somewhat) discuss their differences about his running for governor (and their marriage), and the heat gets turned up on Tommy's plan to take control of Ojai when Holly gives the contract she signed a second look. Meanwhile, Rebecca and David spend some dad-daughter time together in New York. How did all these threads tie together? Let's find out!

In this week's epsiode, Rebecca discovers Tommy's grand scheme to oust Holly from Ojai, and turns to her dad (a returning Ken Olin) for advice on the situation. Meanwhile, the much-talked-about but as yet unseen Ryan Walker makes his debut.

In this episode — which sadly featured no Kermit the Frog references to go along with the title — several of the Walker ladies were dealing with sex issues (with men and for Sarah, with a daughter). Plus, Sarah's issues are complicated by her final attempt to secure financing for Greenatopia, Meanwhile, Kevin tries to keep it together while quail hunting with Republican bigwigs to help Robert's (secret) bid for governor, Justin makes a new friend at NA, and three post-party walk of shames are far from what they should (or could) have been.

Kitty promotes her book about Robert's campaign on "Live With Regis and Kelly." Meanwhile, Sarah's new Internet venture faces a considerable financial obstacle, and Tommy and Saul try to force Holly out of the family business. Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa appear as themselves.

When we last saw the Walkers, they were celebrating Thanksgiving in the hospital cafeteria after Kevin gave a piece of his liver to save his <strike>niece</strike>daughter's life. (Read the full recap here.) This episode picks right up with Kevin recovering under the watchful (and overbearing) eye of Nora, who won't let Scotty help in the way he likes. Meanwhile, Justin gets dissed by a first grader, Nora gets an unwanted blast from the past, Robert and Kitty rekindle a part of their relationship they've been missing and Tommy and Kevin squabble over possible daddy issues created by Elizabeth's surgery (and the ensuing dreams Kevin now can't stop). And, of course, there was some Walker arguing. The holidays are over, so let's get to it.

As most of the Walker clan gets ready to celebrate its first non-Nora Thanksgiving (awesome timing, ABC!), one family member's tragic emergency manages to keep the family together. And while it all sounds a little gloomy, I have to say this episode had a lot of comedy, and more importantly, a lot of heart, easily making it my favorite of the season so far. So how did this un-Thanksgiving turn out? Let's dig in!

What a relief it was to get through an episode this season without a dinner-table meltdown. But that doesn't mean there wasn't plenty of drama. Just as the house Nora bought was crumbling down around her (and the Walkers she recruited for do-it-yourself demolition), the characters were each caught in their own unique messes. Rebecca was given a job she didn't deserve at Walker Landing (thanks to her CEO mom), Robert couldn't decide if he trusted the second-guessing birth mother more than trying surrogacy, Sarah was trying to get enough money to launch Greenatopia (and pay Kyle and Ethan's rent) without selling out her partners and, of course, Nora was trying to keep collapsing ceilings from falling on her head. How did it all work out? Let's find out!

This episode followed the same pattern as almost all this season's previous episodes (big fights, big hugs), but thankfully the Rebecca-Justin relationship was dialed down. And double thankfully, we also got to see more of the Scotty-Justin relationship and a wonderful guest spot from Dave Foley. But not without a Sarah-Kitty squabble, a classic Walker phone call (this I loved!) and a Nora meltdown at the dinner table. So what caused the brouhaha this week? Let's find out!<

Who do you trust? That was the question on many of Brothers & Sisters' characters in this episode. Kevin was having trouble trusting new boss Robert (and vice versa), Kitty put doubts in the mind of her potential birth mother, Rebecca was unsure if she trusted Justin enough to say the old, "L word," Sarah didn't know how much faith she could put in her new business associates and Nora tried make George Lafferty see that he could trust in her family if he decided to tell Ryan the truth. Of course, there were other characters who couldn't be trusted at all. Who were they? Let's find out.<

In this episode, many of the Walkers (or Walkers-in-law) were keeping secrets that, of course, were eventually aired, for better or worse. Nora tried to keep the truth from Kitty as she drug her along on a mission to find the Lafferty family, Robert lied to Kitty about his "surprise trip to Washington," Rebecca tried to surprise Justin by getting Kevin and Tommy to come support his one year anniversary of sobriety and Sarah's potential employers lied about the status of their new company. Plus, Nora got one step closer to revealing the secret evils of William Walker to yet another unsuspecting family. Which of these lies caused trouble and which worked themselves out? Let's see!

In this episode, Nora wanted money from investors, but found herself in need of a little self-confidence. Likewise, Saul wanted to not be bored, but was in need of a goal, Sarah wanted a new job, but was in need a better salary (and a nanny!) and Kevin wanted to make partner and impress Scotty's family, but was in need of a hug. As the name of the episode says But as the Rolling Stones remind us (and as the name of the episode implies), you can't always get what you want, but sometimes you get what you need. Would that be true for the Walkers? Let's find out.

This episode found many of the Walkers struggling to give up something of value in order to move forward with their lives, regardless of the emotional consequences. Nora found herself selling off William's old possessions to make way for a new office. Kitty had to give up being Robert's "stellar" communications director to publish her book. Kevin was tempted to replace Kitty on Robert's staff, but it would mean giving up all the work he had done toward becoming partner. Sadly, Rebecca doesn’t get a reward for what she gives up: Her seemingly good-intentioned attempt to move past her issues of distrust with Holly only brings Rebecca more reason to keep her distance.

For a show that has relied heavily on huge Walker wars so far this season, it seems a little odd that an episode titled "Tug of War" would be the least explosive of the three aired thus far. But a tug of war is often a painful, grueling battle, similar to the battles of many of the characters in this episode. Justin deals with having to face his time in Iraq head-on no matter how much he may wish not to, Kevin battles to find a balance between achieving his goal of becoming partner and being true to himself and his husband, Sarah and Saul both search themselves and battle their own feelings while also battling Holly and Tommy's plans for Ojai, and Robert battles bees. OK, so maybe all of this episode's battles weren't symbolic.
