Broadway Open House

Before `The Tonight Show' there was this pioneering late-night variety series, which mixed celebrity guests, music performances and skits. The series revolved around the leering interplay between host Jerry Lester and the statuesque blonde Dagmar. Morey Amsterdam (who later joined `The Dick Van Dyke Show') alternated with Lester as host in the show's first season.
