A Child of Denmark Season 0, Episode 0 Aug 31, 2015 Paid

The season begins approximately two and a half years after the second season ended. Here we meet a quite different Birgitte Nyborg to the one we knew. She has left the world of politics; she is now a highly-paid speaker in business circles and sits on several major boards. She speaks to a gathering of top executives in the Danish business world about her personal experiences as prime minister and head of the government. Shortly afterwards, we see her in a helicopter on her way to a skyscraper in Hong Kong's financial quarter. She is expensively dressed and has acquired expensive habits. We do not see her not as a person devoid of ideals, but she has been changed by her new career. A conversation with her old friend and mentor, Bent Sejrø, reveals that Birgitte does not wish to be reminded too much about the political situation in Denmark. She has left it behind. Her focus is now elsewhere.
