The date of the general election is fast approaching in Denmark, and this is occupying both the politicians and the media. Fortunately for Birgitte, she has been declared completely healthy, and can therefore return 100% to her political life. So far, the New Democrats are doing well in the election campaign. They have announced that they are standing alone in the campaign, without supporting any particular candidate for prime minister. The population has welcomed this announcement, and indications are that the party stands to win to five seats. This, however, is not enough for Birgitte, who wants the party to win more seats and gain real influence.

Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery Season 3, Episode 5 Nov 1, 2013 Paid

Disagreement between the political parties is often both seen and heard. Unfortunately for Birgitte, there is also unrest in her own ranks when the sex trade is placed on the agenda. In Copenhagen, police have found three women who have been locked up and forced to have sex against their will. The case causes the Labour Party, the Moderates, Social Solidarity, the Green Party, the Freedom Party and the New Democrats to discuss the need for a law prohibiting the purchase of sex in Denmark. Torben, too, is encountering ethical problems; but these do not have to do with prostitution, but rather with his affair with the editor Pia, which is developing.

The Right Shade of Brown Season 3, Episode 3 Oct 18, 2013 Paid

Chaos and confusion rule in the party rooms of the New Democrats when Birgitte arrives for work. There are many people who in various ways have attached themselves to the party. Birgitte is met by Katrine and the party leadership, consisting of Bent, Nete, Erik and Jon. Katrine says that TV1 has invited them to participate in a panel discussion on the integration of ethnic minorities. They therefore need to find a party spokesperson on integration. They agree to find an integration spokesperson who is Muslim and from an ethnic minority. The new times can also be felt at TV1, where Torben's new boss, Alex Hjort, wants Torben to base his editorial policy more on the viewers than on the news items. Alex wants to see an if-only-it-were-me kind of programme.
