Is Bones coming back this fall? — Byerley
MATT: Well of course it is, on Thursday, Sept. 17. And if only because I had Eddie McClintock (now starring on SyFy's Warehouse 13) dropping by for a video Q&A, I reached out to Bones boss Hart Hanson to see if Eddie's Special Agent Tim Sullivan might ever reenter Temp's life. "We've always thought he might return one day, dead or alive. I prefer alive, actually," Hanson told the Buzz. McClintock in turn told me, "I had such a great time with Emily [Deschanel] and David [Boreanaz], so for Hart to say that makes me happy. I would love to [do Bones again]." Hmm, W13 did just wrap production on Season 1....

Do you have any info on what's in store for CSI: NY's Danny and Lindsay? — Tasha

Poll: Did Bones, Grey's, House or Heroes Most Jump the Shark?

Olivia Wilde, Patrick Dempsey

We asked which shows Jumped the Shark this season, and TVGuide.com readers told us. By a wide margin, they pointed most often to Heroes, House, Bones and Grey's Anatomy. Some even snickered and laughed while doing so.

So now we need help again. Vote in our poll on which of these shows is the biggest Shark Jumper of this past season. read more

Fall TV: Fox Picks Bones Up for Two More Seasons

David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, Bones

Capping one of the upfront season's most prolonged back-and-forths over the licensing fee paid by the network to the studio, Fox has decided to renew Bones — for a fifth and sixth season.

Executive producer Hart Hanson announced the pick-up on Saturday, via his Twitter account. Later, Hanson confirmed that Fox had ordered not just one but two more seasons.

House, Bones, Grey's Have Sex Dreams... But Not Sex

House

Look, we have unrealistic dreams of our own. We don't need to see the unrealistic dreams of the imaginary people on TV, too. That's just too many steps removed from anything we might ever care about.

So we're underwhelmed by the new hallucinatory sex trend sweeping this season: House and Cuddy and Bones and Booth ended the will-they-or-won't-they speculation in their respective finales, and Grey's Anatomy introduced Izzie's brain tumor by having her have sex, loudly and often, with the very-dead Denny. (In so doing, the show also made the first-ever argument in favor of cancer. Bad.)

All the sex was pretend. Or set in an alternate dream-world. Or something. read more

Ratings: Which of 11 Finales Delivered the Biggest Bang?

Grey's Anatomy

Thursday's ratings rundown:

8 pm/ET
Survivor topped the hour with an audience of 12 million total viewers, on par with last week. Bones' surreal season-ender scored 8.7 mil, up a tick. Ugly Betty dropped 9 percent to claim third with 6.83 mil.

While NBC's Earl (4.8 mil) wrapped up its season with a 370K gain, Parks & Recreation (4.25 mil) concluded its freshman run with another (8 percent) drop. Smallville saw 3.16 mil (down 180 thou) pull up a chair for the [cough] "epic" clash.

9 pm
Grey's Anatomy's two-hour, two-jaw-dropper season finale drew 16.35 million viewers — marking the serial's largest audience since the Sept. 25 opener and a week-to-week gain of a mil. CSI's finale followed with 14.42 mil.

Trailing the Hell's Kitchen closer (7.4 mil), NBC's The Office welcomed 6.72 mil to the company picnic (down 13 percent), while 30 Rock (5.66 mil) dropped 8 percent.

Supernatural's Dean and Sam had 2.9 mil (up 100K) at their side as they braved an apocalyptic finale

10 pm
Placing second behind Grey's, CSI: NY's wacky little Thursday season-ender copped 12.84 mil, up 600 thou from its Wednesday outing. Facing outrageously stiff competition, NBC's Southland plummeted 29 percent, to 4.64 mil.

Was the Bones-Booth "Nookie" Good for You?

Was Bones just a big tease?

Some 59 minutes before serving up a major twist regarding Booth's recuperation from brain-tumor surgery, the Bones season finale gave fans a taste of what they've hungered for — the partners-in-crimesolving canoodling in bed together.

Ah, but there was a catch, as had been telegraphed by producers in the weeks prior. The bedroom antics were ... read more

30 Rock

Bones
8 pm/ET Fox
There's been a lot of buzz about Brennan and Booth having sex this season, but after his brain surgery last week, will it happen in his hospital bed? That remains to be seen, though there are plenty of other reasons to tune in to tonight's fourth-season finale, including the return of Zack (Eric Millegan) and appearances by Brennan's dad (Ryan O'Neal), Booth's brother (Brendan Fehr) and, last but not least, Mötley Crüe, who just happen to be playing at a nightclub that's the scene of a murder.

Read on for previews of Grey's Anatomy, The Office, CSI and 30 Rock. read more

Bones Episode Recap: "The Critic in the Cabernet"

David Boreanaz with "Stewie"

This week on Fox's Bones, as the team investigated the death of a wine critic, Bones found herself intoxicated by the idea of having a baby — and tapped Booth to be her create-a-family guy! His reaction was quite animated, to say the least. Here's our recap:

A group of friends are wrapping up a tasting at Sean Mortensen's winery when they stumble upon a cask with an extremely full body — meaning, a decomposed corpse lay inside. Gives new meaning to the term "mouth feel," though truth be told probably none of the vic's mandible could fit through the spigot.

Cut to Booth and Bones in a session with Sweets, who suggests a round of word association to ... read more

The Office

Bones
8 pm/ET Fox
In this series, "B & B" stands for Brennan and Booth, but after tonight, it may default to its usual abbreviation for bed-and-breakfast. That's because Brennan shocks Booth with her sudden desire to have a baby — and she wants him to be the father! Such a development could put truth to the rumor that these two will finally get to know each other in the biblical sense, but in the meantime, Booth does his best to process this momentous decision with some help from Family Guy's Stewie Griffin (voice of Seth MacFarlane).

Mega Buzz on Grey's, Housewives, Lie to Me, Bones, Life & More

Eric Dane (Grey's Anatomy), Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives) and Tim Roth (Lie to Me)

I adored the "McFamily" scenes last week on Grey's Anatomy. What's next for Mark, Lexie, Meredith and Derek? — Kelly
MATT: For Mark and Lexie, much cuteness is on the immediate horizon. I mean, as much as Thatcher Grey makes my skin crawl (no offense, Jeff Perry!), the way things play out when he returns is better than I expected. For Mer and Der, there's the none-too-small matter of a stern ultimatum coming from the bride. As that gets sorted out, the would-be marrieds will find cause to fast-track their wedding, so get to updating that website, illing Izzie!

So I'm guessing that Gaby will be hosting the spoiled teen diva on Desperate Housewives. They should totally get Selena Gomez to play the part! — Darcy
MICKEY: I like where your head's at, Darcy, what with the Disney/ABC corporate synergy and all. It won't be Selena, but the Housewives casting elves ... read more

Premise: A scientist with an `uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones' solves murders in a procedural series inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs. Scientist Brennan is often teamed with FBI Special Agent Booth, who mistrusts science and believes evidence should come from the living. The Brennan-Booth pair have drawn favorable comparisons to Scully and Mulder of 'The X-Files.'
