Thursday TV: White Collar's Endgame, Covert Goes to Istanbul

"People like us, we live on borrowed time," a fellow con artist prophetically tells TV's most debonair FBI consultant, the dapper Neal Caffrey (Matt Bomer). "Spend your time well, Neal. Before you know it, it will be gone."

True words, because USA's diverting crime dramedy White Collar (Thursday, 9/8c) has returned from a long hiatus — the last episode aired in late January — but only for a short and hopefully sweet sixth and final season of a mere six episodes. Let's welcome it as a bonus miniseries: White Collar: Neal Vs. The Pink Panthers, as Neal sets his stylish fedora on infiltrating a notorious international gang of thieves, named after the classic film franchise. (And if ever there was a show deserving of a catchy Henry Mancini score, it's this one.)

Exclusive Bones Sneak Peek: Brennan's Rival Returns!

So much for "friendly" competition.

On Thursday's Bones (8/7, Fox), Dr. Brennan (Emily Deschanel) is asked to give the keynote speech at a forensic science convention, so she brings Cam (Tamara Taylor), Angela (Michaela Conlin) and Hodgins (TJ Thyne) along with her. But when the remains of a body are found at the convention, Brennan and her team must go to work — especially once Hodgins becomes the prime suspect!

Mega Buzz: Get some hot scoop on a Bones wedding

However, not everyone at the convention is likely to lend a hand. The episode also features the return of Brennan's publishing rival Tess Brown... read more

Those of you hankering for another Bones wedding might want to keep those expectations in check. Although the subject of a marriage between Cam and Arastoo comes up again in the Nov. 6 episode, one member of the couple isn't exactly ready for a new level of commitment. Worse, that fight spills into the Jeffersonian when Arastoo's dissertation proposal is rejected by Dr. Brennan and Cam tries to change Brennan's mind. Unfortunately for Cam, she'll quickly learn that opening her mouth has only made things worse between her and Arastoo.

I don't understand why Rick would let Glen and Maggie leave with Abraham on the The Walking Dead. Shouldn't they all stick together? — Valerie

Ratings: Scandal, Football Crush Gracepoint, NBC Comedies

New shows were no match for Scandal and football.

The ABC drama was Thursday's top-rated scripted show, drawing 10.4 million viewers and a 3.3 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, trumping the series premieres of Fox's Gracepoint (4.8 million, 1.2), and NBC's Bad Judge (5.9 million, 1.3) and A to Z (4.8 million, 1.2). All three were down ...

Premise: A scientist with an 'uncanny ability to read clues left behind in a victim's bones' solves murders in a procedural series inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs. Scientist Brennan is often teamed with FBI Special Agent Booth, who mistrusts science and believes evidence should come from the living. The Brennan-Booth pair have drawn favorable comparisons to Scully and Mulder of 'The X-Files.'
