Homicide is the beat in this big-city police drama from producer David Jacobs (`Dallas,' `Knots Landing'), which debuted as a summer series in 1992 and returned to CBS's schedule for an eight-week run the following spring. Heading the detective squad: Lt. Ben Carroll, played by the durable Lee Horsley (`Nero Wolfe,' `Matt Houston'). George Clooney played one of Carroll's detectives; he'd go on to bigger things---`ER'---a year later.
