Season 8 of The Biggest Loser was all about second chances, especially for newly crowned winner Danny Cahill. The 40-year-old from Broken Arrow, Okla., was an overweight teen who managed to lose the weight and pursue his dream of becoming a successful musician. After falling off the wagon and gaining the weight back, though, Danny became determined to shed the weight once and for all. By the season finale, he lost 55 percent of his body mass, ending up at 191 pounds.

After months of sweat and, of course, tears, the remaining Biggest Loser contestants will step on the scale for one final weigh-in. In tonight's two-hour live finale, either Amanda or Liz will join Danny and Rudy to compete for the $250,000 prize, while the rest of Season 8's competitors will reveal their transformations as the at-home winner is determined. So let's get to recapping!
After watching some clips of that first and dreadful mile run-walk from Week 1, Alison introduces the finale scale. Dun-dun-dun!
This past week, votes have been cast to decide if Amanda or Liz would be the third finalist to compete for the title. Out on stage first is Amanda, strutting her stuff as her old self is transposed next to her. Alison asks her how she feels in a dress, something she often avoided, and Amanda simply says, "I feel beautiful."
Liz comes out next looking wonderful in orange. After a short commercial break, Alison announces who America has chosen. And that person is... Amanda! It's only fitting that the woman America chose during Season 7 to compete this season, was also chosen by America to be the third finalist.
