Premise: Stories involving crusading newspaperman Steve Wilson, who worked for `The Illustrated Press.' Based on a popular radio program, which was broadcast from 1937 to '48, the TV version was syndicated under several titles, including `City Assignment,' `Byline: Steve Wilson,' `Headline' and `Heart of the City.'
