Well, James, to put it in his own words, made a "clean f---ing sweep" this week. As much as his still being in the house at all angers me, I guess he's earned his kudos. Although I did admire his gameplay early (he was the only one playing before the couple split), this week was all about revenge, which usually isn't the smartest way to play. But when you win all the competitions, I guess you deserve to play as you like. The show began with some (seemingly genuine) appreciation of Natalie's endurance in the HOH competition from Matt. It was shocking to see Matt (who to this point has been the raging tough guy who treated Natalie like dirt most of the time) say kind things about his former partner. He even said if he was next to her in the final two, he would hope for her to win the money. True? Who knows? But now that Matt is sitting on the block, we may not have to worry about it anyway. That's right, James went back on his original promise to keep Matt and Natalie safe this week by ...

Revenge of the James! What a day that must have been for him: voted out, voted back in and standing on a spinning chain for almost 5 hours to take the HOH competition. That's determination right there. I got to hand it to him; he must have wanted it bad. He must have been in some pain though to make that stupid deal with Natalie. At least I hope that's why he did it. Matt should be his primary target and he let Natalie convince him to keep her and Matt off the block if she'd drop. Matt has to be the luckiest guy in this game. Natalie is doing all the work for him and he basically lies to everyone and never answers for it. Natalie is so sweet and naive. I want to feel sorry for her but I can't understand how she doesn't see Matt for the liar he is. His pathetic and half-hearted attempts to show his appreciation to her are so embarrassing he should be ashamed of himself. Minutes into the HOH competition he was trying to convince James he voted him back in the house. He even tried to l...

It's day 35 in the Big Brother house and my one burning question is this: What happened to the rest of Sharon's eyebrows? Unlucky for her BB doesn't allow eye pencils of any kind in the house. I think she's over-plucking
Ok but seriously, James' surprise nomination caused chaos in the house much to my delight and since Amanda and Allison were gone, Josh had to find a new target: Natalie. Sadly, BB didn't show any of that. We were robbed. I won't ruin it because they may show it at some other point, but it got nasty. Josh once again proved what a dirt bag he could be. Sheila God love her spilled the beans about Sharon and Matt's make-out session to Natalie. And the plot thickened. Green with envy, Natalie decided she might want to go against Matt and vote out Sharon. Sadly, I was pretty positive this would blow (no pun intended) over and Matt would be back in her good graces in no time. Though I always enjoy the eviction episode misdirect, this one wa...

Now that the game is being played as singles, some people are definitely stepping up. Sure, the boneheads continue to be boneheads, but the gameplay of a few houseguests proves there might still be hope for this season after all. (I said might). Again, based solely on what was shown on the CBS broadcast, biggest props probably have to go to Sheila. Maybe she was feeling frisky in her red unitard, but she proved she wasn't afraid to stick her neck out and speak her mind. Sure she was just looking out for own future safety, but she did get HOH Ryan to think better of taking a two-week promise of safety that would force him to backdoor Matt. Ryan is also playing a pretty good game, given the circumstances. He is in a precarious position, sitting between two sides of the house. Though, I think he made it pretty clear which side he wants to be aligned with. Either way, Ryan's biggest mistake as I see it, is trusting Joshuah at all. I know they made their own agreement (which Ryan honored...

I haven't been watching the feeds or reading much on the "spoiler" sites, but I gather it hasn't been an interesting few days. I mean there has to be some reason we spent the first 10 minutes of the show rehashing everything that happened Wednesday. As much as I loved watching Allison scream for a second chance and how that made Josh squirm, I wanted new content. Especially when they showed most of it in the previews of the show! Now that the couples were singles, things were changing in the house. Matt hated on Natalie, Sheila and Adam declared war, and Chelsia acted flighty. Oh wait, nothing has changed. It may take an eviction cycle for these people to start turning on one another. I can't wait. Josh prayed about his wicked ways and I cracked up. But more importantly, he prayed for a sleeker physique. Oh Lord if you can hear me please ignore that prayer. I mean he has no intention of giving 10% of the prize money to charity. What a worm.Back to flighty Chelsia, she jumped ship on ...

Well the "secret" is out, and even though we've all seen it coming for weeks, the couples of Big Brother are now playing alone. And (again as expected) a formerly evicted houseguest will return to the house next week. But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Matt, fresh off the block after winning the Power of Veto, continued his scheming, promising his vote to both couples on the block. But when both Ryan and Allison and Adam and Sheila told James that they had Matt and Natlie's vote secured, Matt's plan backfired. I have to say that James is probably the only player who's really playing the game right now, and he continued doing so by calling out Matt for playing both sides in front of the entire house. This could hurt Matt's game in the long term, as perhaps a few of the people who were so eager to trust him will now think twice. I honestly didn't pay much attention to the segment featuring Matt and Natalie's friends commenting on their relationship. Natalie's friends bought into th...

More fights? Cryptic mystery sounds? A possible showmance? This episode had all of the elements of a great Big Brother episode (except for fainting, of course). Sadly, each of these glimmers didn't shine long, but maybe there is some hope for the rest of the season. Only time will tell. First things first, let's take a moment to congratulate Natalie and Matt for winning the Power of Veto and removing themselves from the block. They really worked well as a team, which was vital to this Cupid-inspired competition. Through simple communication (that's right Allison shrieking doesn't help), they were able to coordinate their pulley system and organize the puzzle fast enough to earn their safety this week. The competition was another poor showing for Sheila and Adam. I honestly laughed when I saw how horribly wrong her puzzle was. The loss spawned another yelling match between Sheila and Adam (who's goofy grin is beginning to remind me of Harry from Harry and the Hendersons), but a...

I must admit, I wanted the lesbian lie to come back and bite Allison and Sheila in the butt. But I didn't want it to be used as a reason for Josh to go off on one of his tirades. And I didn't want Sheila to avoid the shrapnel. But let's back track a bit. Things started going wrong for Allison when she decided to change her vote for eviction from Matt and Natalie to Amanda and Alex. For some odd reason, Josh felt Allison was not entitled to change her mind or play the game in a way that didn't benefit him. Afraid of being the lone vote against Matt and Natalie, Josh convinced Sharon to vote with the majority. Now we know why Sharon and Josh were so quick to eliminate Allison and Ryan from the HOH competition. The next thing Allison did wrong was having the audacity to mention she buzzed in at about the same time as Sharon. This sent Josh into a tailspin for no apparent reason. After going on and on about her ugly dress and face, he threatened to make her life a living hell in the hous...

It looks like the new Operation Bro-Down fell prey to the Condor as Alex and Amanda got the boot instead of "pawns" Matt and Natalie. I guess convulsing in front of your roommates won't persuade them to vote for you. Wasn't that awful? For the first time in the history of watching this show, I felt like I was intruding on something very personal and scary. I was hoping that incident would get her enough sympathy to secure another week for Hot Alex. Sigh. Six down who will go next? But first
It was eviction night, so we were treated to Dame Julie Chen live and in color. The DJC looked fabu this evening. Fresh from an afternoon of horseback riding with Lord CBS, she was rockin' some fierce riding boots and a sweater that just said "We feed our horses $100 bills".DJC had some tough questions for James during the HOH interview. She called him out on his promise not to nominate Matt and Natalie for eviction. I like when she appears to actually watch the show. I know some ass...

Big Brother's Adam by Bill Inoshita/CBS
Big Brother contestant Adam Jasinski's getting the boot following his remark that autistic children are "retards" in a recent ep. During the segment, Jasinski claimed he could call the children whatever he wanted, because he worked with them. Now, however, the organization he worked for the United Autism Foundation has written him off their staff roster following the outcry that stemmed from his epithet. At least one advertiser pulled out of airtime during the series, and various autism organizations have asked CBS to go so far as to cancel the show.According to the New York Post, the Foundation announced Jasinski's firing on its website Tuesday, saying, "Mr. Jasinski will no longer work for or represent the United Autism Foundation since he caused tremendous damage to UNIAF." In addition, the group has an official apology for the star's comments on its homepage.Jasinski, in the meantime, is ostensibly unaware of his job status with the group, since, per Big Brother's r...
