Big Brother Recap: "She Wants to Fight This War, and I Will" Season 13, Episode 12

The nomination ceremony has just adjourned, where Daniele nominated Brendon and Rachel. We get to experience a (painful) teary-eyed and passionate embrace between Brenchel, as a dramatic background score quickly turns the whole moment into a trashy telenovela. Then Brendon talks about his plans to cure cancer. He's like the Jonas Salk of the 21st century, amirite?

The power of veto competition begins, and in addition to Daniele, Rachel, and Brendon participating, Jeff, Adam the Creepy Elf, and Porsche will also compete. For each round, the participants will have to write down how long they think it will take for them to complete a given task. Whoever writes down the lowest number will have to complete the task at hand in that amount of time, or they are eliminated.

In a not-at-all surprising turn of events, Brendon wins the POV. Say what you will about them, but Brenchel is truly a power couple that rises to the occasion when their future is at stake.

The telenovela returns, and Rachel victoriously straddles Brendon like Seabiscuit. Brendon admits in his confessional that he's going to use the POV on Rachel, which proves he is both self-sacrificing... and an idiot.

Brendon lies about his plans to Jeff and Daniele, though it is hard to take him seriously, as he is wearing a bright pink bandanna on his head. Going into the veto ceremony, we're still unsure about who Daniele will put up as a replacement nominee.

Then, Brendon surprises everyone (but not us, we knew all along!), and removes his "fiancée" from the block. I often wonder if he's decided to completely disregard the fact that she has a name, and instead just likes referring to her as "fiancée." Don't you?

It's clear by the look on Daniele's face that she is completely caught off guard, and she ultimately puts Jordan on the block. Though this goes against the deal she had made with Jeff and Jordan earlier, we can assume that Jordan is a pawn, and the houseguests will vote out Brendon tomorrow evening.

We close the episode with a crying Rachel (a very, very ugly cry, I might add), and she says, "I feels like a fairytale princess right now! My knight in shining armor came to save me." If I were the princess, and my knight was Brendon... I'd rather be sacrificed.

Will Brendon go home, or will the "pawn curse" take Jordan out of the game? Who will become the new head of household? Tell us your thoughts in the comments!
