Premise: Blunt 'Hill Street Blues' detective Norman Buntz sets up shop as a PI in laid-back California with help from geeky sidekick Sid 'The Snitch' Thurston in this fish-out-of-water series, which sank in five months. Dennis Franz would later refine Buntz's shoot-from-the-lip persona for his star-making role as troubled detective Andy Sipowitz on 'NYPD Blue.'
