Beauty and the Beast Midseason Finale: Will Catherine and Vincent Finally Kiss?

Will Beauty and the Beast's Catherine and Vincent finally reveal their relationship in public? They'll have their big shot on the midseason finale.

"Faced with the pressure that single women feel going to weddings alone, Catherine slips and tells [her friends and sister] she has someone in her life and so she has to produce him," executive producer Sherri Cooper tells TVGuide.com. "The question is does, Vincent show up under the guise of someone else and risk it? Does she bring someone else instead? Does she confess she made him up? The episode is a lot about risk."

Ask Matt: Last Resort, Revolution, Elementary, Nashville, Vegas, More

Question: I was wondering whether your affection for Last Resort had waned since the pilot. I've seen comments that the show has been uneven, but I've been absolutely hooked. I'm not trying to play the comparison game with some of Shawn Ryan's other excellent series (The Shield, Terriers) because maybe it isn't quite up to that incredible level, but I still think it's the best new show of the season read more

The New Season: Vampire Rocks, Beauty Doesn't

As exciting game-changers go, the only shows currently surpassing The CW's The Vampire Diaries in their new seasons are Showtime's Sunday blockbusters, the Emmy-winning Homeland (which just won't stop with the jaw-dropping twists) and the back-on-its-game Dexter (finally breaking new ground with Deb's realization of her brother's true identity). After several seasons of treading bloody water with increasingly convoluted plotting that didn't really move the show's core characters forward, Diaries has at last taken the leap in its fourth season (Thursday at 8/7c), turning its leading lady (Nina Dobrev as the tormented Elena) into the most reluctant of vampires, sending shock waves of guilt, anger and worry through the entire Mystic Falls supernatural brain trust.

Beauty and the Beast Star: "Our Version Can Get a Little Dark"

Beauty and the Beast might be a "tale as old as time," but the stars of The CW's reboot promise their version is modern, dark and grounded in reality.

The new series, which is a revamp of the 1980s-era CBS incarnation of the classic fairy tale with a procedural twist, stars Smallville's Kristin Kreuk as New York City homicide detective Catherine Chandler. Tough on the outside, Cat buries a world of hurt stemming from witnessing her mother's death at the hands of two gunmen when she was just a teen. Australian actor Jay Ryan plays Vincent Keller, an ex-military man who was turned into a beast during a government experiment gone wrong and is the unknown person who saved Cat that fateful night years ago. And just like the original story, there's an inexplicable force pulling both the beauty, Cat, and Vincent, the beast, towards each other.

Two Beauty and the Beast Pilots: Which One Gets to Keep the Title?

Tale as old as time: Two TV rivals wind up with similar, competing shows (think ER vs. Chicago Hope). But ABC and The CW have gone a step further this winter, ordering two different pilots titled Beauty and the Beast. And should both projects go to series, neither side is going to want to give that title up — setting the stage for what could be a beastly showdown.

Premise: A cult fantasy about a lawyer who befriends---and eventually falls for---a kindly man-beast who lives in a subterranean world beneath New York City. Strange, moody and oddly romantic, the series had unusually loyal fans, but, alas, not enough of them and was gone within three years.
