Bachelor Pad Episode Recap: Week 1 Season 3, Episode 1

Just hours after Emily Maynard got her happy ending on The Bachelorette, it's already time to tune into the franchise's guilty pleasure hit, Bachelor Pad. So let's get to recapping!

Emily's recent reject Chris is the first guy we meet. After looking back at his time with Emily on the most recent season, we see he's doing well and is already thinking about the ladies he might meet on the Pad. Lindzi, from Ben's season, stands out to him and he hopes to bang see her. Of course, we next see Lindzi who's "ready to get back in the saddle" after being rejected by Ben. In Philadelphia, we see Reid, who's still bitter that Ed won Jillian's heart during their season. Good thing the two are going to be reunited back in the Bachelor Pad house! Ed, by the way, says he's still loving the bachelor lifestyle and wasn't ready to be in a relationship when he did the show.

Blakeley, from Ben's season, is also in the house. "I've grown so much," she says, explaining how she left VIP bartending to start waxing. Up next is Jaclyn, who Blakeley thinks is one of her best friends. Jaclyn, on the other hand, describes them as frenemies and says she and her college education plans to wipe the floor with Blakeley and her "blessings." In Houston, Kalon says America probably hates him. (Correct.) I mean, who does push-ups in just their tight underwear?

Time to meet the newbies aka the "super fans." Paige is hoping Chris is in the house and also thinks Michael Stagliano is a sweetheart. And Paige hopes she's not so star-struck that she pees her pants! Chris B is a swat officer and can kick butt, but loves watching Bachelor and Bachelorette in his PJs with a glass of red wine. He actually thinks he can find love on the show. Aww, how naive. Donna thinks Bachelor Pad is made for her. She says she could live in her bikini all year round. "I know what I got and I know how to use it," she says. And she also has a huge crush on Michael Stagliano. David is an MMA fighter who's in it to win it. Brittany and Erica are twins and as a twist, they will count as one vote. But these twins have one thing not in common. Erica is a virgin, and Britney makes it clear she's not.

Finally, we're back at the mansion where the limos arrive. All the entrances are status quo, save for Kalon, who pulls up in a convertible and throws Chris Harrison the keys. The newbies who are in awe of being on the show. The party immediately gets started with Ed jumping in the pool in his tighty whities. Chris Harrison calls everyone in to explain the rules, but he can't even finish without Ed running back into the pool. He explains that the following day, they'll be pairing up as duos. So tonight, the coupling begins. Early teams include Reid and Paige, Nick and Erica, Chris and Blakeley and Jaclyn and Ed.

The first competition is called "Falling for Love." Each couple gets inside a heart and must stay in it as long as possible, as the device tilts every couple of minutes. The first couple to "fall from love" is Nick and Erica, so they're penalized with a vote against them in the first rose ceremony. After a few more tilts, a bunch of couples are down, leaving Paige and Reid and Britney and David. Apparently no one wants a twin to remain in the game so everyone is rooting for Paige and Reid. But alas Britney and David, both fans, win.

As their reward date, the trio (twins and David) head to a carnival where they reminisce about all the past Bachelor carnival-themed dates. Then they all pull a Courtney and go skinny-dipping.

Back at the house, Blakeley doesn't know if she can trust her partner Chris just yet. And when Chris and Jamie sneak off to talk (and then kiss), Blakeley certainly doesn't think she can trust him! So Jaclyn and Blakeley run off to try to find and interrupt them. Blakeley then tells Jamie she's much different — in a bad way — than she was on their season. (Aka, she's not as sweet.) Let the claws come out! "Just watch your back," Blakeley says. In the diary room, she cries and says he's not her boyfriend but she cares enough about him to respect him. You've known him for a day, girl!

The next morning the newbies talk strategy and the plan is to cut Nick, who already has a vote against him from the challenge, and Erica. David (stupidly) tells everyone his plan, which gives Erica time to get to the others. "The game is lying, avoid conversations," Michael says. Exactly what David did not do. Erica, meanwhile, confronts David at the pool. "I think you're an ugly loser and your plan is not going to work and you'll get eliminated next week."

Before the rose ceremony Chris B (aka SWAT) tries to save his behind since David pissed the alums off. And Reid, who's cozied up to Paige, learns she's on the chopping block because the twins are safe and Donna has a hot bod. Reid decides to campaign to save her and get Erica out, but unfortunately they miscalculate who they need to vote on their side. And since SWAT is leaving at the hands of David's mistake, he certainly doesn't care to save the super fans and their alliance on his way out. Ultimately, Paige and Swat are eliminated.
