Premise: In this stylized, globe-trotting thriller based on a novel by Frederick Forsyth (“The Day of the Jackal”), a former elite Vietnam soldier (Sam Elliott) seeks to mete out justice to a murderous, elusive war criminal. But the mission turns complicated when it's discovered that the U.S. government is using the criminal in a sting operation to take down terrorists. Timothy Hutton, James Cromwell. Robert Markowitz directed.
