VIDEO: Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?: Season 1

Contestants will receive test questions, taken from actual 1st through 5th grade textbooks, such as: In what state is Mount Rushmore located? What are the colors of a rainbow? What are the names of the five Great Lakes? If players get stuck or forget the answers, they are not alone. There is a way for contestants to cheat in this classroom. The adults will have the opportunity to get some help from real grade-schoolers, who will offer what they think is the correct a-n-s-w-e-r. watch

NBC, Mark Burnett Launching Reality Series to Rival Idol

NBC has ordered The Voice of America, a series the network hopes will rival Fox's singing competitions American Idol and The X Factor.

It might be Thanksgiving break for most students, but the kids in this classroom are still hard at work. Tonight's contestant, Sanjaya Malakar, is no stranger to reality TV: He's a well-known and controversial contestant from Season 6 of American Idol. He's famous for creating the "ponyhawk" hairstyle and for being, according to Idol judge Randy Jackson, one of the smartest contestants to appear on the musical reality show. OK, Randy, but can he handle fifth-grade geography?
