The Girls Go to the Great Wall Season 9, Episode 12

Welcome to the final four! This week, the remaining model's were starting to feel the pressure following Heather's dismissal. Bianca masked her insecurities by doing what she does best and trash-talking her competition. Jenah made hers abundantly clear by repeatedly stating how she was still trying to find herself despite making it this far in the cycle. Saleisha and Chantal seemed rather confident while acknowledging that things were about to get a lot tougher. When the girls made it home after last elimination, they found some parting words from Heather waiting for all of them in hand-written letters. The girls were surprised by Heather's ability to express how much the experience and meeting them meant to her but they also seemed glad to have such a strong model out of the running. Before getting the opportunity to relax and enjoy their success, the models packed their belongings and head off to Beijing. Their first stop was a visit with Miss J and Twiggy where they learned a bit about Chinese culture. It seemed as though none of the girls were the least bit interested in hearing about the history of the fashion they were about to model. Instead, they were all just eager to keep the competition moving along so they could be closer to grabbing the title. After the little fashion show of the traditional Chinese beauties, the girls were each given one of the outfits they had just seen and asked to modernize it while sticking to themes Miss J and Twiggy had just described for each piece. As the models went about shopping to accesorize and modernize their look, Bianca decided to use the opportunity to sabotage Jenah after she had mistakenly wasted some of her own shopping time. She told Jenah there was some major merchandise in the stores across the street and the poor girl bought it. Being the bigger person, she decided to avoid the drama of confronting Bianca and kept her annoyance to herself. When the girls modeled their new outfits for the judges, Bianca's trickery proved a failure when Jenah was named the challenge winner and brought along Chantal to get fitted for some couture dresses. And for the first time in ANTM history, Jenah also won some one on one time with Miss J for a lesson on walking the runway. The next day the girls made their way to the Great Wall where Mr. Jay and Tyra were waiting to start this week's photo shoot. The girls were made up to look like warriors trying to attack the wall. Tyra stepped in to be the photographer and to advise the girls on their posing. A combination of being homesick and a lack of self-confidence causes Jenah to get flustered during her shoot and Bianca's stiffness required some extra guidance from Tyra. Once Tyra made it clear what she was looking for, Saleisha and Chantal jumped right in and gave some great shots. For the finale, Tyra gather all four ladies for a group picture in a test to see which girls would stand out the most in the group. As they wrapped things up at the Great Wall, the girls returned home for the night awaiting another elimination the following day. Now that we're down to four girls, the judges deliberations go a lot quicker and they seem pretty set on who they're impressed by and who is still questionable this far in the game. As they re-examined the photos, it was clear that Bianca still requires a lot of training and Jenah's issues trying to find herself were starting to become apparent in her pictures. Never has it been so obvious which girls would be moving on to the final round and which would be facing elimination. When Tyra explained why Jenah and Bianca were chosen to be in the bottom two, it looked as thought Bianca would be packing her bags unless Jenah was going to let her homesickness get the best of her. Jenah's photo was flipped and all of Bianca's trash-talking and over-confidence came crashing down on her. The girl who swore up and down that she'd have a spot in the finals lost out to the girl she tried to sabotage to get there. Buh-bye Bianca! Finally, some sweet justice! Bianca constantly stated how her fellow models lacked that certain special quality that made them stand out but throughout the entire competition all we've seen from her is cattiness. Ain't nothing special about that! All of the talent she credited herself with was nowhere to be found this entire cycle. Sure, she took a nice photo but the girl made herself out to be God's gift to modeling. I'm so glad to see her go. Despite the final girls not being exactly who I pictured, I'd be happy to see Chantal and Saleisha face off for the title. After this week's shenanigans, it's clear Jenah can't handle this lifestyle. If the girl is still trying to figure out who she is, working in the fast paced and often cruel world of modeling won't help her in that search. She doesn't have a shot in Hades to win this thing now. So is Tyra's T-Zone apprentice (Saleisha) a shoe-in for the crown or does Chantal have enough natural talent to take her down? show less
