Hello all. Allow me to introduce myselfmy name is Gina, and Im covering for our dear Adam while hes in the process of moving (truth is his roomie was too cheap to pay for the extra four days of internet til the lease ran out). But fear not for your Top Model guru will be returning to his regularly scheduled blogging next Wednesday. So as an avid watcher of the show, and all of Tyras madness, lets get this party started, shall we?This week started with the girls reactions to their last photo shoot, and no one could seem to get over how Aimees skin looked, to quote Tyra, insanely, crazy beautiful. Lauren took note of her lack of confidence, and then we turned the focus over to Claire and her family. Yes, it was sad to hear her on the phone with her man, and its clear she misses that adorable little nugget of hers. But Im not really sure I was really interested in hearing about her breast milk drying up....

Oh boy...after last week's meat photo shoot I couldn't wait to see what Tyra had up her sleeve for this week's Top Model. Even outside of this blog the bizarre decision to shoot the girls with meat draped over them seemed to get a lot of attention. Especially from our friends over at PETA. Now, I'm always up for a delicious steak dinner but at the same time I do find something wrong with having these poor girls running around with dead cow as underwear. As this week's episode kicked off and I caught a glimpse of the previously on Top Model clips, I couldn't help but scoff at Mr. Jay's line about how one of the girls was not "coming off pretty." Umm, Mr. Jay, you try sporting meat panties and see how attractive you look! Anyhow, I digress. This week's episode marked the return of my least favorite Tyra pal, Benny Ninja and yet another model friend to parade in front of the remaining girls. As things got underway, Fatima was upset about being in the bottom two last week (boo hoo!) and ...

Oh boy! It's hump day and time for another session of Top Model mayhem. Of course by mayhem I mean loud screeching and loads of trash-talking. Last week, Allison was sent packing which eliminated a small portion of the cattiness in the house but we've still got a long way to go before this becomes a clean competition. This week, the girls finally got a chance to learn some things from Miss J and then utilized their newly acquired skills as they walked the runway in a Tuleh fashion show. Let's get to recapping! The episode started out with a couple of the girls giving some friendly advice to Lauren about how she could stay in the judges good graces. Meanwhile, the leading candidate to win the title for cycle 10 villain, Fatima, sat alone and muttered to herself as she watched Aimis have fun with the other girls. I couldn't be more over Fatima constantly reminding us how badly she wants to win the competition. Every one of those girls is in it to win or else they would've dropped out w...

Well peeps, here we are! Another round of Top Model makeovers. Over the past 10 cycles, its become customary to expect dye-jobs, weaves, and disapproving looks from the Jay's as the girls undergo their transformations and cry throughout the whole thing. Will this year be any different? I'm thinking that's a big N-O. If there's one thing this show has kept interesting since the beginning, it's the makeovers. So let's get to recapping. The episode started out with the girls lounging around the apartment talking about who they thought their biggest competition might be. Despite having been in the bottom 4 last week, Dominique seemed pretty confident in her modeling ability. Just as the girls were starting to get to know each other a little better, the doorbell rang and outside were 12 white bags filled with Applebottom products. Cue the screeching girls. While the rest of gals went gaga over their new stuff, Lauren once again expressed how much of a tomboy she is and how wearing high-he...

Here we go again! Last week Tyra and the Jay's picked the lucky 14 girls who would be heading to New York and moving into the house. But exactly how lucky were they? From the looks of things, this cycle won't be quite the cakewalk that previous seasons may have seemed. Along with the move back to New York city comes many other changes to Top Model. Now onto this week's recap. Now, typically I'd skip right over the opening credits and get right into the action but if the producers worked hard enough to give us a brand new opening...why not take a minute to comment on it? All I have to say is: Tyra, Tyra, Tyra! I vaguely remember what the intro was like in past seasons but I truly don't remember it being this Tyra-centric. However, I should add that when they did eventually show the girls they looked great. Dare I say fierce? Anyhow, following the pretty new intro we watched as the girls arrived on the mean streets of NYC. They received their first piece of Tyra-mail which directed the...

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to cycle 10 of America's Next Top Model! It seems like only yesterday we were all flipping out over Tyra's decision to crown Saleisha the cycle 9 winner. Now, in an attempt to inject a little life into the show, Tyra and co. are heading to Manhattan. Will a change of location be enough to get us disappointed fans interested again? I sure hope so. After a short countdown of flashbacks from the past 9 cycles, the new season kicked off rather suddenly by introducing us to this years crop of 35 aspiring models as they rode a bus to Top Model Prep. Upon arriving, the two J's met with the girls and gave them the rundown for this year's competition. Before class could begin at Top Model Prep the hopefuls had to change into their school uniforms and pose for photo IDs. After that, it was off to runway class with Miss J. The class gave the girls a chance to prove their worth this early in the competition. Girls like Dominique and Fatima certainly proved they had...

Well folks, the time has come to crown another winner on America's Next Top Model. While I'd like to say it's been one hell of a season, it really hasn't been. As I got the chance to re-watch some of the episodes on MTV this past weekend, it occurred to me just how much this cycle didn't live up to the Top Model standard we've come to expect. The models were pretty but not nearly as likable as other years and the judges really started to bug me with how they treated some of the girls. Nonetheless, here we are at the final episode and we're left to choose between Saleisha (or should I say Tootie,) Chantal (Malibu Barbie,) and Jenah (not even worth a fun nickname.) So let's get to the recap. With victory in sight, the three remaining girls reflected on their time in the competition and their expectations for the final two. It was interesting to hear Jenah tell Saleisha that she expected to go home if it was between them in the final two but she wasn't at all concerned about rival blond...

Welcome to the final four! This week, the remaining model's were starting to feel the pressure following Heather's dismissal. Bianca masked her insecurities by doing what she does best and trash-talking her competition. Jenah made hers abundantly clear by repeatedly stating how she was still trying to find herself despite making it this far in the cycle. Saleisha and Chantal seemed rather confident while acknowledging that things were about to get a lot tougher. When the girls made it home after last elimination, they found some parting words from Heather waiting for all of them in hand-written letters. The girls were surprised by Heather's ability to express how much the experience and meeting them meant to her but they also seemed glad to have such a strong model out of the running. Before getting the opportunity to relax and enjoy their success, the models packed their belongings and head off to Beijing. Their first stop was a visit with Miss J and Twiggy where they learned a bit ...

Greetings one and all! I hope everyone had a nice holiday gathering with family and friends while enjoying some Thanksgiving goodies. What am I thankful for this year you ask? Having a job that gives me an outlet for all of my Top Model angst week after week. And the way things have been going this season, I've got plenty to say. As I mentioned in an earlier blog entry, every cycle it seems the girl I'm rooting for never makes it far in the competition. I don't know...maybe I don't see what the judges see or maybe the judges are just off their rockers. Either way, after Lisa's dismissal last week I've pretty much given up in trying to pick the winner. It seems to be anyone's game right now but if the producers were smart they'd keep Bianca and Heather for the final two. Talk about drama! Now onto this week's show. This week, the ladies started out talking about the previous elimination. Chantal believed that Heather being fed her lines should have been her ticket back to the US and ...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! We're down to 6 girls left on ANTM and this week the gang was off to China. As the girls packed their bags for the trip, Bianca once again laid into Heather. She just can't leave that girl alone! She said she was tired of all the girls having to act like Heather's mother but she seems to be the only one who brings it up. Once the models touched down in China, they made their way to the new suite. They quickly discovered that two of them would be sharing a bed and immediately designated Heather to be one of those girls. Heather took it personally and was upset that the others girls seemed to be picking on her again. On the ladies' first day in China, they were off to some martial arts training. The models were taught several martial arts poses and were asked to perform these poses while being hoisted into the air. The challenge brought out Bianca's intense fear of heights leaving her no choice but to drop out of the task and accept disqualifi...
