Created and executive-produced by supermodel Tyra Banks, its formula of beautiful women plus unappealing behavior made it enormously popular and one of the more intriguing reality shows, with its wannabe cover girls living together in a Manhattan loft and, between catfights, going out on photo shoots while they vie for a modeling contract.

If there's one thing we've heard time and time again at in reality shows from participants, it's the sentence, "I'm not here to make friends." But what we never realized is how many times it's actually said. I went into my interview with America's Next Top Model second runner-up Fatima Siad expecting to dislike her. A lot. It only took ten cycles to do it, but there's no denying Whitney deserved the title, especially considering her final competition: the deeply vapid Anya. The girls' challenge is not only to pull off a flawless Cover Girl commercial, but to do it in Italian.
