Prison Break

Farrah's Story
9 pm/ET NBC
Farrah Fawcett's battle with anal cancer began in 2006 and continues today. Over the past three years, the 62-year-old former Charlie's Angel star videotaped her thoughts and chronicled her medical treatments in the U.S. and Germany, using her own home video camera. The result is this highly personal account of her life since being diagnosed and becoming a renewed target of paparazzi and tabloids, which she also addresses. Also appearing and commenting are Ryan O'Neal, Kate Jackson, Jaclyn Smith, Alana Stewart (who shot most of the footage) and Jim Fawcett, the actress's father.

ABC to Keep on Dancing, Renews Five Unscripted Shows

Dancing With The Stars by Carol Kaelson/ABC

Stars better keep those Dancing shoes shined, and wives better be wary: ABC announced its renewal of five unscripted shows, including Dancing with the Stars. Along with DWTS, the net said Thursday that it's bringing back Wife Swap, Supernanny, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and America's Funniest Home Videos — for its 19th season (!). Conspicuously absent from the list was that Dancing-like newbie Dance Wars, which never quite got moving. Don't worry about the mate-seekers being left out — following the upcoming season of the Bachelor (with that smokin' British leading man), the show will be swapped out next season with a new version of The Bachelorette.ABC's roster of five confirms the renewal of its veteran unscripteds, and repeats a similar move last year, when it beat its competitors to the renewal-announcement punch. — Anna Dimond read more

i-Caught Gets the Story Behind Viral Videos

i-Caught by Donna Svennevik/ABC

Back in 1990 when video cameras hit critical mass among consumers, ABC launched America's Funniest Home Videos, making every embarrassing moment that occurred in front of a camcorder fodder for entertainment. It's still on the air. Now ABC News is exploiting the newest generation of video technology with a limited summer series called i-Caught, which premieres Tuesday, Aug. 7, at 10 pm. Each week, host Bill Weir will be getting the story behind the most talked-about user-generated clips on the Internet that go into heavy rotation on cable news after they've sufficiently distracted the nation's labor force. ABC has even set up a YouTube-esque site at http://ugv.abcnews.go.com where you can sample some clips and even upload your own. The Biz got Weir to log off long enough to talk about his new show.TVGuide.com: So has the ABC News legal department cleared the use of i-Caught with Apple? Bill Weir: I raised that exact point. But no. Everything is cool. I guess they can't trademark a l... read more

All in the ABC Family

Matt Dallas by Michael Courtney/ABC Family

ABC Family has unveiled its summer and fall schedule, which includes returning tween favorites Kyle XY (premieres Monday, June 11) and Wildfire (January), a pair of new series, the college-set ensemble comedy Greek (July) and the animated Slacker Cats (August), and Tom Bergeron hosted episodes of America's Funniest Home Videos (which are much better than those lame Bob Saget ones). In conjunction with Greek, the channel will launch virtualrush.com next month, yet another social networking site to help you fritter away your workday. Kyle XY also offers an interactive component at KyleXY.com, including exclusive videos, online games and clues to the show's myriad mysteries, like why the title character lacks a navel. It's like so incredibly grody. Inner-city drama Lincoln Heights (September) and the heavenly Fallen (August 3-5) are also back. —Raven Snook read more
