It's finale night, ladies and gentleman! We kick things off with a particularly unexciting performance from the top 12 finalists (not including Jessica and Phillip). The only noteworthy moment occurred when Joshua attempted to do some sort of split thing, failed miserably, and clumsily toppled over himself. Super embarrassing.

Well, we've made it folks. We have finally arrived at the final performance show. You've survived Seacrest's bad spray tans, Steven Tyler's creepy advances toward underage women and most importantly... lots and lots of filler. So here's you to, America!

If tonight's opening number "California Dreaming" is any indication how the rest of this hour will be... we might as well just check out now. The four finalists perform the song robotically, and that's not even the worst part.

We've made it to the final four folks, and what a long, strange trip it's been. Tonight we'll take a stroll down memory lane as we recount the journey of each contestant. When that's over with, they'll sing a song about California, and follow it up with a song they wish they had written. It is at this point we realize the producers have simply run out of categories. Oh well.

Steven, so excited about the job, brought out his finest purple turban and matching blazer for the occasion.

Queen was tired from last evening's festivities, so tonight, they had a group of young dudes help them perform their hit "Somebody to Love." The Queen impersonator band is apparently going on tour and calling themselves "The Queen Extravaganza," which works out quite well for the originals, since the royalties will come rolling in while they presumably do nothing.

Things are feeling a bit off-kilter tonight on American Idol. For starters, no Colton Dixon in memoriam! Apparently they nixed the Colton montage in favor of a little band by the name of Queen. I guess they're more deserving. But what's even stranger about this evening is the fact that Seacrest looks like he just came back from a crack-fueled bender in Tijuana.
