Meanwhile, Will (Ethan Dampf) is preparing for his First Holy Communion, but must get through the dreaded First Confession; Patty (Sarah Ramos) has her own encounter with the Catholic Church; Roxanne tells Meg that she's now interested in "guys," not "boys," Michael Brooks (Joseph Lawrence) in particular; and a girl in Helen's lit class comes down with a disturbing illness.
