Family Guy is making the move to live action with a new variety special set for November.
The tentatively titled Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show will air Sunday, Nov. 8 at 8:30/7:30c and feature the show's creator Seth MacFarlane and co-star Alex Borstein. MacFarlane and Borstein voice Peter and Lois Griffin, respectively.

Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane has signed a landmark deal with 20th Century Fox that makes him the company's highest-paid writer-producer and keeps him there through 2012.The deal, which includes new media and retail projects, covers Family Guy, American Dad! and the upcoming Guy spinoff, The Cleveland Show. MacFarlane will also team up with Family Guy writer Gary Janetti to produce a sitcom.MacFarlane didn't hold back his feelings about signing the deal, which was finalized after nearly three years of negotiations. As if the implications of the writers strike werent already giving us migraines, along comes Fox to make our heads explode with its latest incomprehensible schedule announcement, covering the strike-impacted midseason from January to April (consider most everything you read from here on subject to change). The first piece of bad news was expected: The seventh season of 24 is being postponed indefinitely, until Fox can ensure the entire season can run intact and uninterrupted. Who knows when that will be?
