The race continues in Kunming, China, the capital of the Yunnan Province, where teams choose between installing solar tubes on a rooftop or putting traditionally garbed dolls in a unique order. Later, the pairs erect a life-size replica of a dinosaur.
The race continues in Lijiang, located in the Yunnan Province of China, where teams search for the 12 symbols of the Chinese zodiac at an outdoor market and choose between hammering hot molten candy into bars or carrying a large ceremonial horn through streets to find a specific location.
The race continues in Japan, where a member of each team dons traditional Samurai clothing and shoots a target using a bow and arrow while atop a mechanical horse. Later, the teams choose between finding a frog figurine in frigid mud or taking part in a Shinto cleansing ritual that requires them to stand beneath a chilly waterfall.
