After a satisfying stint in Miami, the "GTL"-loving crew are heading back to where they belong — Seaside Heights, N.J. — when the new season of the reality hit kicks off tonight. Thankfully, the twice ousted and always annoying Angelina is staying in Staten Island this time around, with Snooki's provocative pal, Deena, taking her place in the house. Even with Angelina out of the picture, it doesn't take long for old tensions to resurface, and on their first night out, it becomes clear that some Miami grudges haven't gone anywhere. — Karen Kelty

The Real Housewives of D.C.

Real Housewives of D.C.

Bravo gives a big vote to Washington, D.C. The current season of Top Chef is based in the nation's capital, and now this newest entry in the soapy "Housewives" franchise is set there as well. Here, the manicured realms of five D.C. women — Stacie Scott Turner, Michaele Salahi, Catherine Ommanney, Lynda Erkiletian and Mary Schmidt Amons — are charted in reality fashion. In tonight's premiere, Michaele (notorious as a crasher of a 2009 White House state dinner) throws a polo event, but modeling-agency proprietress Lynda snubs her. Meanwhile, Mary gets ready for her birthday bash, and Stacie presides over a dinner party.

9 pm/ET ABC While this summer hit is already slated for a second season, its rookies — in their rookie season — have been making their share of mistakes on the job. Let's hope she remembered to load her gun this time. — Fred Mitchell

Johnny Weir

Winter Olympics
8/7c NBC
Yevgeny Plushenko has come out of retirement to defend his 2006 figure-skating gold medal, but with strong performances from World Champion Evan Lysacek and two-time U.S. winner Jeremy Abbott, the U.S. has a shot to win for the first time in 22 years. Abbott has come on like gangbusters since changing coaches to Yuka Sato in 2009: "It's been very difficult, but I needed the change," he says. "I grew up and took control." The U.S. women have taken control of snowboarding's halfpipe event, having claimed the last two gold medals in the Games. Winners Kelly Clark (2002) and Hannah Teter (2006) are joined by 2006 silver medalist Gretchen Bleiler as repeat contenders from Torino. The Canadians could also be making some noise this evening, with Christine Nesbitt the favorite in women's speed skating's 1,000-meter final. And if you're watching the Olympics to see events you don't see much of anywhere else, skeleton competition begins late tonight.
