Nancy O’Dell on Family, Work and the Wildfires

Access Hollywood host Nancy O’Dell has a new shopping partner — potentially at least — her 4-month-old baby daughter, Ashby Grace. "It was nice to add a little girl to the pack," she told TV Guide Thursday (Oct. 25) night at the Choose Your Cause event at Fred Segal Santa Monica. O’Dell, who has two stepsons (Tyler, 11, and Carson, 7) with husband Keith Zubulevich, explains, "I have my sports partners. I love to play football with my stepsons, but now I’ve got a shopping partner."Leaving home to go to work in the morning has been a challenge, O’Dell admits. "It’s really tough. I see her little smile in the morning and it takes me an extra half an hour to get out the door every day because I keep going back in."O’Dell, 41, quickly got back to prepregnancy weight by "working out every single day during my maternity leave. I was running every day and I felt so good."While the raging Southern California fires did not affect the home she and Zubule... read more

inFANity Behind the Scenes of Access Hollywood

All right, I’ll admit it’s kind of odd hosting a behind the scenes show (inFANity) of a behind the scenes show (Access Hollywood), then writing a behind the scenes take (this blog) all about what goes on behind the scenes. Just think of this as the most inside, exclusive, behind the scenes, first look (and any other histrionic broadcasting phrase that comes to mind) you’ve ever seen. You’re about to experience history, people!Having worked in several newsrooms around the country -- KGNS in Laredo, Texas, KGBT in the Rio Grande Valley, WAVY Norfolk, KTTV Los Angeles, and KCBS same city -- I know how a good manager can affect what you do and ultimately what people see on the air. Having said that, the reason the gorgeous, perfectly coiffed hosts (hair is real important there as it should be) on Access Hollywood seem to come through the television screen when they speak to you is because of the boss. The Queso Grande. The man who shouts “Action!” more than... read more

Lindsay Lohan Proclaims, "I Am Innocent," as Filmmakers Sour on Her Career

The evening after being arrested on DUI and cocaine-possession charges, Lindsay Lohan proclaimed, "I am innocent" in an e-mail to Access Hollywood. "I did not do drugs, they're not mine," she writes, referring to the coke found on her person at the time of the arrest. "I appreciate everyone giving me my privacy."OK.Filmmakers, meanwhile, are weighing in on how this latest scrape with the law will impact the starlet's already compromised career. James Robinson, the Georgia Rules producer who famously penned an open letter chastising LiLo for her on-set behavior, tells TV's Extra, "I truly am troubled that this young girl, who has spent her whole life being an actress, would be at this juncture... self-destructive. I hate to see her throw her life away." "The sad thing is at one point she had talent," an L.A.-based producer tells Variety. The exec points blame at "the people around her for not telling her the one thing she needs to hear: 'Go away! Go away for a year [to London or any ... read more
