Premiered: 1971, on Syndicated
Premise: Country music and hayseed humor from Nashville. The show aired on CBS for only two years---but lasted nearly 23 more in first-run syndication. `Hee Haw' attracted a loyal following who appreciated the down-home touches. Trademarks of the series included the bib overalls and straw hats worn by cast members, along with an animated donkey and the cornfield set where corny jokes were always in season. Minnie Pearl, Grandpa Jones, Junior Samples and Stringbean Akeman were among the regulars.
