Morris Chestnut, Brian Williams

This week, TV was filled with surprise appearances. Tommy returned on Brothers & Sisters. Rihanna spoke about ex Chris Brown. The JFK assassination was front and center on Mad Men. Kate Hudson distracted Fox cameramen during the World Series. And the pilot episode of V taught us that appearances can deceive. Welcome to this week's Top Moments: Screen Time Edition.

10. Worst Return: Guess who's back on Brothers & Sisters? Prodigal son Tommy, who we last saw abandon his family to join a hippie commune in Mexico. What's he up to now? ... read more

What's the story with new episodes of 24? — Randy
MICKEY: Are you a baseball fan, Randy? Even if you're not, you should tune in to the World Series because that's when Fox will unveil the first preview of the new season of 24, which starts in January 2010. But until then, here's a tidbit: Within the first hour of Season 8, Jack will meet his granddaughter. No word yet on whether Baby Bauer is rooting for New York or Philadelphia. (Go Phillies!)

Hugh Laurie (House, Sara Ramirez (Grey's Anatomy), Milo Ventimiglia (Heroes)

Are Callie and Arizona going to make it on Grey's Anatomy this season? They don't seem as intimate as Callie was with Dr. Hahn. — Rachel
ADAM:
Just because we haven't seen Callzona's sexy time on-screen, there's no reason to believe the ladies have intimacy issues. "I'm sure they've done that. I mean, come on!" Sara Ramirez tells us. Ramirez does, however, see potential speed bumps ahead. "They will deal with some very universal relationship-type issues," she says. "I'm kind of nervous for Callie — she's never been this happy for so long. Something's going to happen."

Andre Braugher was fantastic on the House season premiere. Any chance he'll return if House needs more counseling? — DeeBee

90210's New Surfer Chick Talks Love Triangles

Gillian Zinser

While Liam (Matt Lanter) may be attempting to make amends with Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), he's momentarily distracted when Ivy (Gillian Zinser) arrives. She's a cool California chick who joins the surfing team -- and the West Bev boys' club. Zinser sat down with TVGuide.com to introduce us to 90210's version of Spicoli and to dish on how Ivy will affect Naomi and Liam's rocky road to relationship recovery.

Exclusive: Meet 90210's new surfer chick

TVGuide.com: Ivy is the quintessential surfer chick who hangs out with the guys.
Gillian Zinser:
I got a little Spicoli going on. [Laughs] Ivy is fun as hell. She's definitely the quintessential California girl, but she's smart. She's really smart and sassy and quick-witted. She's totally one of the guys, as she's part of the surf team and demands her respect in that manner. But a lot of that confident, bro'd out shtick is soon to be broken down when... read more

I'd like to know if there will be an evolution in the Abby/Gibbs relationship on NCIS this season. — Lucia
ADAM: Are you one of those Gabby 'shippers? Because if so, ew. In any case, executive producer Shane Brennan sounds delighted about an arc he has planned for Abby this season — and says Gibbs plays a big part in it. "[Abby] does have a special relationship with Gibbs, [who has changed] because of the journey he has taken over the past two-and-a-half seasons," Brennan says. "Most people will see that Gibbs smiles more now; he's kind of warming up. There's certainly more to learn about the relationship between Gibbs and Abby, and we play toward that in this special arc of Abby's."

90210: Can't We All Just Get Along?

90210

The new season of 90210 has not been kind to young lovers. Silver and Dixon are still on the outs. Liam broke Naomi's heart in last season's finale; her older married lover then stomped on it a bit too. Navid is attempting to not be jealous of Teddy, lest it drive a wedge between him and Adrianna. And the closest thing that newly ostracized Annie has found to love involved a bungalow, a cellphone pic and a mass emailing.

When will Cupid visit West Bev? Not any time soon, says the cast. On a visit to the show's Los Angeles set, TVGuide.com asked them about their upcoming storylines and said a little prayer that these crazy kids just might find happiness one of these days...
