Oscar Expands Best Picture Race to 10 Nominees

The Hangover, Best Picture nominee? Perhaps.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced Wednesday it is doubling the number of Best Picture nominees — from five to 10.

Who Wore It Best On the Oscars Red Carpet?

The Oscars are over, but that doesn't mean people aren't still obsessing over who wore what. TV Guide Network went to In Touch senior editor Kim Serafin to get her expert opinion on whose fashion left a lasting impression and whose fell short.  

Hear what they said about Freida Pinto's blue dress, wildcard Mickey Rourke's no-tux number and dog necklace, and of course, Angelina Jolie's ginormous emeralds, which left everyone saying, "What dress?" GLAAD Lauds Milk's and Vicky's Oscar Wins

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has congratulated Milk and Vicky Cristina Barcelona on the films' victories at Sunday's Academy Awards. Milk picked up two awards: best actor for Sean Penn, who portrayed slain gay-rights activist/politician Harvey Milk, and original screenplay for Dustin Lance Black. Penelope Cruz was named supporting actress for her work in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona, in which she gets entangled in a three-way relationship with Javier Bardem and Scarlett Johansson.

Thank Hugh? Oscar Ratings Up from Last Year's All-Time Low

ABC's broadcast of the 81st annual Academy Awards averaged 36.3 million total viewers, for a 13 percent larger audience than last year's show, which hit an all-time low of 32 million viewers.
